your facts are inaccurate, kim didn't just play alot of tourns. she won them also. in 03 and 05 she was the highest paid, most matches won, and most titles earned player. Tennis is completely retrospective, when she was #1 she was the best player in the world, when she (anyone) wins a tourney they are the best player.
