To be honest in my own opinion, I think Brock Lesnar is the biggest name in MMA right now. Sure you have Fedor, Silva, GSP, and so on, but everyone has been paying attention to Lesnar. ESPN normally never covers MMA unless there was a big event, but whenever something occurs with Lesnar, they talk about it on Sportscenter and on the bottom line. If any other MMA news hits, they could care less. I think it would be a tragedy if Lesnar would retire from MMA right now.
I would like to see him work on his stand up and use it more. I know he can take down almost anyone at will but I just think his KOing people standing up would make him look bigger than Fedor. Velasquez is my favorite heavyweight and I hope he take some serious strength and condition training because these heavyweights are just getting bigger. Ohh and the fact that Brock was fight at 60% of his potential is bull shit.

I agree with you. The only Shane Carwin fight i've seen was his fight against Gonzaga and he didn't look too great in that fight. Gonzaga took him down, so I think Brock would probably take him down and pound him out in the second round.

i can't wait for the third fight. people seem to forget the first fight. frank attempted about 4 submissions before he he got the knee bar. don't get me wrong lesnar is talented but the first fight was no mistake. mir wanted a submission and finally he got a hold of one. it's funny that brock called mir a stalker because i'm pretty sure lesnar did the same thing after he tapped out at ufc 81. he wanted to fight frank again because he was embarrassed, now the shoe is on the other foot.

And Brock has fought top compitition? His most significant fights are against Frank and Randy. Randy was like 45 at the time and was suffering from serious ring rust. Heck, even Dana White is always saying ring rust is real. He TAPPED to Frank the first time. And beat Frank the second time thanks to his massive size advantage. Can he deal with the new Frank Mir? I'm not so sure. Besides Brock only has what? 5 fights? Fedor has fought more "top compitition" then Brock has had entire fights.

frank cut 5 lbs to get to 265 so hes 270 not 300, lesnars off season weight is 300lbs and he said he lost 40lbs but then put 30 lbs back on, so lesnar is still 290lbs, still much bigger than mir plus lesnar cuts 20lbs to get to 265lbs

To be honest in my own opinion, I think Brock Lesnar is the biggest name in MMA right now. Sure you have Fedor, Silva, GSP, and so on, but everyone has been paying attention to Lesnar. ESPN normally never covers MMA unless there was a big event, but whenever something occurs with Lesnar, they talk about it on Sportscenter and on the bottom line. If any other MMA news hits, they could care less. I think it would be a tragedy if Lesnar would retire from MMA right now.

I would like to see him work on his stand up and use it more. I know he can take down almost anyone at will but I just think his KOing people standing up would make him look bigger than Fedor. Velasquez is my favorite heavyweight and I hope he take some serious strength and condition training because these heavyweights are just getting bigger. I agree with you. The only Shane Carwin fight i've seen was his fight against Gonzaga and he didn't look too great in that fight. Gonzaga took him down, so I think Brock would probably take him down and pound him out in the second round.

Well to me Gonzaga isn't that good. I do see his record, undefeated hasn't left the 1st round, other than Gonzaga he hasn't fought anyone, and Gonzaga was dominated by Couture. I think Dana was going to give him Lesnar because they're both the same size, Lesnar's size has played a factor in his fights. I still don't think he would beat Mir or Lesnar, he's good just not enough experience to beat Mir, and won't be able to stuff Lesnar's takedowns, I don't think Fedor would stuff his takedowns.
