You're not supposed to truelly understand. Yorke purposely uses imagery and metaphors in his lyrics for this song because he believed the riff was too saddening to put any meaningful lyrics to. He said in an interview years ago.

be a world child = never lose inoscense, no matter how old you are, everithing you know will fade out to nothing someday anyway!.
