Naruto would have messed him up in that fight if he was going all out from the start. He spent ages talking to Sasuke while Sasuke was going for the kill. Infact Sasuke did kill him at one point he broke his neck. At one point Naruto is smashing him all about to Sasuke almost went unconscious if he would have just cared on beating him about at that point he would have won instead Naruto said "Had enough Sasuke, or do i have to brake evey bone in your body" then Sasuke kicked him off.

Like when Naruto span him into the cliff nearly making him unconscious. I would have cared on beating him about for a good 45 minutes afterwards(Especially after Sasuke just broke his neck). Kakashi would have turned up, to see Sasuke beaten to a pulp with like 4 clones bringing him back to the village.
