  • Does your laptop charger keep turning on and off after you installed this processor, because I had the same processor and mines keep shutting on and off.

  • So AMRam i cannot upgrade my G60vx to Core2 extreme QX9300 waaahhhh..

I have G60vx they look almost the same with G51vx, even the insides and their locations...

  • @amps8888 Ah... I am AMRAAM, but in new Channel. Sorry for long respond. The Mainboard may be the same, because in my G51VX, everything is marked as "G60VX" . And i have no idea if what kind of problem you are telling me. The Mainboard doesn't support Quad-Core CPU because ASUS locked it. the Core 2 Extreme X9100 is a Dual-Core CPU.

  • hey mate, what is with the paste?

  • @coopercrue what do you mean

  • Awesome this really helped. Thanks for taking the time to video this. :D

  • Heyy i have a asus m51va with a t9400 cpu, i wanna also upgrade to the x9100 cpu, the socket is exactly the same...however my laptop is only a 90watt while your one was 120watt and my old cpu(t9400) was 35watt while the x9100 is a 44watt. Do you reckon its safe to put a x9100 in my laptop?

  • @donkey1450 well, AMRAAM here. I think yes, as long as your power adapter and the supplier itself inside the machine can provide power for the machine. I believe most of the Notebook CPU has been designed to use the power rate from laptop charger, so yes, you can give it a try. I also recommended you to google around if people has already changed the CPU for it. And remember, not all notebook has a removeable CPU, they may get attached to he mainboard by OEM. good luck.

  • Thanks for the video mate but 2 recommendations:

-slow the fuck down! You're pointing the camera all over the place, it's difficult to see the details of what you're doing.

-english subtitles would be nice too

A part from that, thumbs up!

  • @Arion894 Thanks... But it was damn hard to multi-tasking with some risky job like this!

  • Is the motherboard of the G51VX compatible with an i7-620M processor?

  • @RFXCGZZ : No... G51VX Motherboard is designed for Core 2 Processor. You can install any Core 2 CPU with Socket P, 2 cores. ( G51VX-RX05 is blocked from using Quad-Core CPU)

  • @AMRAAMMissiles Would i be able to change the processor to this? Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E8600 3.33GHz 1333MHz 6MB LGA775 CPU, OEM - AT80570PJ0936M

  • @GTxWhite This is AMRAAM, the CPU you are talking about is Desktop CPU, not Laptop CPU. SO, physically and basicly, you cannot install it in a laptop.

  • @IWSFODD Where would I be able to buy a new processor that would work??

  • @GTxWhite This is AMRAAM again, you should be able to buy CPU from ebay. But be sure to check it before you buy. remeber socket P, 2 cores, Core 2 Series
