My sister passed out on one of these at county fair. But, I had the chance to ride this at Indiana Beach, and it was lots of fun. They have a tilt-a-whirl there now, and it is nowhere near as fun, actually kind of boring, and a short ride.

My sister and I rode this many times. We used to laugh so hard until it started spinning so fast you couldn't move your face or mouth to do anything but scream. Your head would be pinned to the back of the seat and if you tried to lift your arm, it would just fling back at you and hit you in the face!!! I can't believe they took this ride out.

I once saw a carny hosing out a seat on one of these, shouting "alright, who's next?!" as the puke ran off the platform. Ahh...good times on the Mighty Bluegrass Shows midway!

Back in 94, we went to Indiana Beach to ride the brand new Hoosier Hurricane. I remember this Twister as being insane!!! My face was glued to the person next to me- I couldn't move. We laughed so hard. I'll never forget it

BTW Peeps. I used to run this ride and you could pick exactly what cart to spin and for how long and how fast. I was a master of running this ride and is probably one of the fastest spinning and sickening rides in the world. It's too bad they took it out due to xxx,xxx number of complaints. See guys when people complain they take the rides out...then people wonder why stuff gets shut down forever....this is classic example.

Holy Shit it sucks that they pulled it out I would love to see something like that at Six Flags Great America. The spinning on that I love it my mom would love it too but my pops would toss his lunch not only for that day but last weeks. About how fast did the cars spin?

@branina -operators like you are what make going to the smaller amusement parks such a treasure!!! That's me and an ACEer friend on the ride. We talked to the operator before getting on and asked for his best spins. He was cool about it and sure did deliver!!! It was the best Twister ride EVER!!!! (Hey SF--thanks for posting this one!!)

Haha hell yeah. I was just there and they took that awesome ride out for a wussy tiltawhirl. This was the ride that made my father decide he couldn't "take it anymore" and hasn't been on a ride since. I swear that the instructors could somehow pick and we would somehow get spun the whole ride.

Do you know if this is a Chance-manufactured ride? I recall seeing one at Lakemont Park in PA, and deeply regret not riding it while I was there. The thing looks like a monster...

No it wasn't. The ride operator has complete control over it. I worked out there and hated running that ride. I trained this guy to run it on June 1 1991. We have now been married for almost 14 years. My husband loved running that ride. I'm glad they took it out.
