  • @Cooksto I just practiced my French on your comments. Hooray!

  • You forgot to mention the title track at the end of this song.

  • 100% funkylicious!!!!!

  • Funky as Hell!!!

  • man keep this one active

  • This track is cold. How cold? ICE COLD. Funky as chitlins and collard greens on Sunday night. Dig?

  • Wathch out for the summer gets cold.

    This really happend, and happens.

  • @TheAudivisioner Interestingly enough, the average temperature during July 1971 in San Francisco was 62.68 degrees — a low that hasn't been reached since. This album was released in November of 1971.

  • Using a drum machine in 1971.........who else but Sly?????

  • Anyone who think drum machines cant be fonkay - here it is!

  • I think the music world forgets what a musical genius Sylvester Steward was and is. The bass licks that Larry Graham laid down in this joint could stand up and even surpass any bass-tracks I've heard over the years...damn!

  • Only a matter of time until Sony Music shuts this down... So in advance: Fuck you Sony Music Entertainment

  • This is our new slum economy anthem, thank god for real music.

  • good and funky...instumentals to die for ..bass line OMG!

  • coke paranoia is a bummer but sometimes albums like these come out of the darkness inside.

  • if u ppl knew, how much i wana go club where they play grooves like this, so i can dance like a chicken whole night :P

  • a rare find,an excellent B side

  • This is one Funky album ! A MASTERPIECE !

  • Notice no horns. The girls are noticably absent.

  • And reviewers say this album is depressing it is funky more then depressing but gritty i won't lie is true about this album and what they said about this album!

  • Comment removed

  • You canhear the origins of two artists inthis pice...Prince and D'angelo...D'Angelo in the vocals and rhtymic texture...Prince in the vocals and funky guitar harmony

  • good points man. this album also bears influences on parliament and outkast. sly is like the syd barett of funk!

  • "it's like listening to Sly's self destruction" jody808...don't know about that. He wasn't finished yet at this album...was still on top...still had a few concert no shows and some more self destruction to go..it would still take a few years from here. "Stand" was probably his best and most celebrated album but this one is my favorite. As you can hear he was high throughout it but me and the folks i was with were too high ourselves to be alarmed about it yet. It touched our mood at the time

  • SUPRISED NO RAPPERS SAMPLED THIS YET

  • Massive attack have sampled it though on a tune called........wait for it.........Sly! They only used the beat though

  • It's great... this perfect funky jewel that no one's fucked with. It's perfect, just perfect.

  • love that drum machine dontcKha Sly

  • great album, it was out of print for so long so i took me a few years to track down, it has it's moments but it's like listening to Sly's self destruction

  • the guitar licks...wow!

  • Ya the intro is a guitar player's wet dream.

  • MRPINK1 YOU DA MAN!

  • THE BASS BE WALK'N.....HELP-ME!!

  • Brilliant song from a masterpiece of 70s paranoia. What a sound!
