The Boiling Crab is the Sh**!!! I'm frm NY N my uncle took me n the whole family over there we waited at least 90 min on line I was tired N hungry but @ the end of the day it was Worth it the shrimp the fried calamari N the fries were good can't wait till nxt year

question, is a pound a lot of shrimp or crawfish?

@dangashh its all relative. shrimp have more "meat" than crawfish and less waste in the shell. so 1 lb of each yields different amount of good meat. With that said, one pound is usually good for 1 person, maybe 2 if they very light or eat it as a side dish. And it depends on the size of the shrimp too. I prefer around 20 - 24 size, any larger number means the shrim are really small.

I've been trying to get this guy to franchise so I could open one up in Irvine's Spectrum or District. He could make a KILLING!! But they don't want to open one in South OC. Weird.

@xrossfader maybe its too expensive for them to run it in south OC. I know its one of the least expensive sea food places around and is still one of the best, but I don't know if they could keep these prices at the spectrum or even the district.

Well, I'm sure you're right when it comes to leasing a building, maybe permits & such would be more expensive but unless they're running extremely thin on profit in Garden Grove I think it would be very profitable in South OC as well & that's without having to raise the prices. But who knows, maybe you're right. Because it appears they just want to skip South OC & head straight to San Diego from what I've heard. Oh well, I don't mind driving to GG!

We ate at Boiling Crab and Crawfish (a spinoff of BC) in Ontario this past weekend and the food was great! Even had steamed rice on the menu!

From what I read, it's pretty much identical to BC but would still like to try out BC.

This place is awesome. the one on Brookhurst is the largest. Service and crowd is better than the one in Alhambra. Well worth the 1 hour wait
