That's an LT1 Camaro not a T/A and both drivers sucked, i mean the Subie being AWD should've got the Camaro off the line and running 14's is just afwul for a Camaro

dude you do know that C5 corvettes were stock with ls1's the 97-00 had 340 and then in 01-04 they gave them 350 hp so how can a car iwth the same engine beat another car...

the vette weighs less too than the trans am dont get me wrong i love vettes and trans am both beautiful cars but stock wise the vette "should" win since its same engine and the vette weighs less

@krav65 your T/A runs a 12.4 with a few bolt ons, an STi with a few bolt ons/tune (basically a stage2) will run 12s. they are actually 2 very well matched cars.

2nd if ANYTHING if it was stock it would have a lt1 in it which is 300 hp

A c5 has 340 and 01-04 have 350

so it couldnt even beat a C5 let alone a c6 if that's what your talking bout a zr1 cuz those are c4's and c6's which the c6 zr1 has 628 hp...

so really with weight and less hp it couldnt beat a vette or come to close to it.. learn your facts kid it might help you when you talk smack

Hmm the WRX didn't get a chance to go actually. I'm a huge Firebird freak, but that wasn't fair on the WRX'S part LOL. I think they needed to redo that one. LOL. wow, another video post of an sti beating somebody in a f-body who cant drive. an LS1 car from the factory with no mods except a driver who has half a clue how to shift will run a 13.4 all day long with no problems, and they are a blast to drive. both are easy to make power with, you're just going to spend a lot more on an sti

agreed. i am interested in getting a sports car and trans ams are around $8-10g right now compared to an sti at $16-18g. the sti is more fun in the corners granted but that classic RWD V8 muscle is winnin me over. and with the extra $6g i can invest to make a real a monster :)

Red Light. Trans Am

My 2000 SS Camaro 6 speed has no problems with my nephews 2006 STi. He gets me out of the hole but I fly by at the 1000' mark. Both are stock. My 13.02 @ 109.98mph beat his 13.36 @ 102.29mph at Pomona in Oct of 2008. His best ever run is a 13.09 @ 104.91, mine is a 12.77 @ 112.06.

That was the only time I have ever run my SS. I made 12 runs that day but put it away for another day while it's still in pristine condition.

My Nephews STi Is his daily driver.

Both of us race in Division 7 out here on the west coast. I have a 2004 Z06 Competition Eliminator Corvette I run in I/A and my nephew has a 98 Camaro he runs in GT/BA Super Stock class, so driving skills are a moot issue!
