  • I keep looking for a movie like this but I don't think they make 'em like this anymore. I was only 20 when this movie came out.

  • This is the kind of music that stands the test of time. When people hear this music they realize how beautiful music can truly sound.

  • This is so going in my wedding :D

  • @Coitsu i want it in mine too!!!! :)

  • They dont make this model anymore..beautiful..

  • Just wonderful. What dreams are made of. How I wish I had been born earlier. Compared with a lot of the trash that passes for music these days, this is a true classic. The movie and this song.

The guys too back then appeared to be far more manly (and handsome) than what is on offer in the 21st century!

  • Yes, it is the most romantic movie that I saw. I was 12 years old. Only just. I cried. I liked it very much. Troy Donohue and Susanne Plesette, if I reallly remember. Beautiful song, Wonderfull movie.

  • A great performance of a wonderful song. Bravo, Bravo, Bravo!!!!

  • I just saw this movie on TCM this afternoon...swept away by it's romanticism..and I have to agree..we'll never see the likes of this again...

  • I love that song

  • Emilio Pericoli represented Italy at the 1963 Eurovision Song Contest and "Al di là" was the Italian entry at the 1961 ESC performed brilliantly by the late Betty Curtis.

  • I started singing about 4 years ago and heard about this song but never sang it. After hearing how beautiful it really is i'm now gonna learn it. I think this is the best version of it i've heard. Connie Francis did it beautiful also. I am Italian but don't speak it but will learn this song and not sing it until I can do it as perfect as he does.

  • Ya it is the meaning of the song. This was a time that was happy, times were pretty good, the govt did not want to control our every move, and we could just enjoy life. Thank goodness we had the time.

  • I saw this movie when I was a young girl and to me, it was the most romantic movie ever. I still feel that way. You don't have to have sex scenes to be classified as a romantic movie. The beautiful love we saw developing throughout the movie...now THAT is romantic, in my book. My sister and I looked up to Suzanne Pleshette as a role model because she had morals and values and the guy admired that in her. Sadly it's not that way now...

  • @SherryAnn68 They do not make movies and songs like this anymore. Too bad that kids these days listen to the trash that passes as music. The songs they listen to do not have a tune or rhythm attached to it. Now romantic movies means lots of sex and nudity. Back then girls used to think about their first kiss, and now girls think about when they will get laid. Times really have changed for the worst because of the liberals and minorities

  • @calihartley2010 I agree with you. So sad that morals have declined the way they have. Romance just isn't the same when there's no longer any courting or longing for each other. They just don't know what they're missing. I'm so glad I was young during that era. It was innocent and romantic. Guys treated you with respect, didn't cuss when a girl was present, they opened the car door, kissed you goodnight at your front door and called you to ask you for a date on the weekend

  • @Sharonvg68 Maybe we can pray that they will coem back. Good Christians in the US and Europe have realised that liberalism has failed and are going back to Christian roots. It may take time, but it will happen.

  • @calihartley2010 May God listen to you...i hope that beginning comes soon....

  • @ErosetPsyche Thanks me too. Please keep praying as well. All this collective prayer will help. I know it will.

  • @calihartley2010 it's so sad and true... :(

  • @ErosetPsyche It sure is.

canso de assistir, meus parabéns The TomMunday .

  • Most romantic song ever!

  • The most romantic song and movie ever. I saw it as a teenager and to this day my favorite.

  • The first movie that I saw with my first love in 1962 and the song is so beautiful. 50 years later, I found that man and I am still in love with him.

  • When I was junior-highschool student, I watched this movie.

Since then, this song is my favorite.

I've longed to request this in Italy.

At last I did it this month.

I feit to be Suzanne. How romantic !!

  • I'll never forgive a suitemate for going off on a weekend and leaving this record playing on his phonograph, automatically starting over time and again. I finally got the dorm director to open the door so I could turn it off.

  • I just love this song

  • One of the most romantic theme songs ever to appear in a movie. Truly unforgetable.

  • PALOMA BLANCA GRAZIE ON YOUR EASY TO INTERPRET WORDS OF PRAISE.

THIS IS FROM AN AMERICAN ITALIAN. AND THATS GENOVESI HERE. I LOVED TO SEE THE SOURCE OF YOUR CALL SIGN......AGAIN GRAZIE,...FELLOW ITALIANO...!

  • I love watching this movie, and this song,,,, ROMANCE at it's BEST.. Troy and Suzanne really were in love when this was filmed. I believed they got married. Thanks for posting this,, no one sings is Better thank Emilio Pericoli!!!

  • @JustAnnie51

I second that emotion! This is one of the loveliest romantic ballads of all time! Perfect for "Rome Adventure"! Troy & Suzanne wouldn't have been human if they hadn't fallen in love, being surrounded by such marvelous locations & with such gorgeous music! They did indeed marry a year after appearing in this film. But, sadly, the marriage ended within a year. Neither Troy or Suzanne ever discussed their failed marriage. But both went on to other & more happier unions.

  • If I were rich I'd give up every penny to turn the clock back to this era in my life !

  • Perricoli is a better looking guy in this movie than Troy Donahue. Perricoli reminds me of the actor Cesare Danova, who was quite busy as a guest star on various TV shows in the 1950s, 60s & 70s. I wonder if Perricoli ever tried acting?

Grazie!
