@dollyman2009 Yes, with guts and brains.The earliest version was written in 1967, after she was married. Then an outrageous statement for a starting singer with a sexist audience. It took pressure to even bring it out. And more than a bit of support from her husband, who hates publicity.It was her first (small) solohit, 17th. Men bought it. There was little outrage - strange. I'm not sure I prefer this to her original version, also on YT. Hard to say.

I love the old and new versions equally. This is such a great song. I love the story behind the song. Carl thought she was a virgin and when she told him she wasn't, it broke his heart.
