  • How do you like the cadillac I see in the garage? I had a 83' 4-door same color.

I don't own the car anymore. Last year i sold it( shame on me) It's a very beautifull car!

  • @vloothout yeah, shame on you :D LOL

  • @vloothout I know how you feel: I sold my '72 Chevrolet Impala 4-door-coupé (pilarles) as well....

  • @manoman0 Luckily is still have my `77 Chevy Suburban, always a pleasure to drive ;)

  • @vloothout you are a lucky man....

  • Do it again daddy

  • Yes, that's possible ; )

  • That is awesome, can you move the gate up & down while the wagon is moving?

  • My friend's dad had a '71 Chevy Bel Air that had a MANUAL version of this door. You had to yank it out of the hole and slam it by hand, and it was a bear! Later, he got a '74 Kingswood Estate with the powered door.

  • yeah i remember hearing that the manual door pretty much was rendered obselete in the later years because of how heavy it was.

  • Das est Cool !

  • Awesome...all this mechanical sophistication to reveal an ugly LPG (gas) cylinder filling-up the boot space !!!

  • @john289 wow........ thats not a tank for the door.... thats just something he has sitting back there and its called a trunk not a boot... a boot is something i wear on my foot

  • back then it was a very slick rear gate design, now it is one of the most feared demolition derby cars.

  • It was indeed a slick design, but unfortunately added about 500 pounds of weight (due to reinforcing of the cavity for the door). These cars weighed around 5500 pounds, versus, just under 5000 for Ford and Dodge full-sized wagons.

  • The tailgate slides into the bottom of the trunk(between the rearbumper and the floor and the window slides into the roof(between the roof and the headliner!

  • where does the tailgate go?

  • Oe man, Wat vet!!!
