A huge ' Pirate Radio ' hit from the Summer of ' 67, remember it so well , plugged to death on Radio London's ' Fab Forty ' at the same time as ' Excerpt From A Teenage Opera '.I remember my newly installed Bluespot car radio , bought for my 17th birthday, in my 1938 Austin Seven , volume turned flat out travelling back from Bletchley Park training courses .Happy memories from the ' Summer Of Love ' !

dont get me wrong here, cat's been such an influence on me for over 40 yrs , i love him. i just dont understand some of the choices he's made, i h ave listened to every reason but there are flaws in them, and if he finds justification in his choices, who are we to say different. they are his to decide ,it's his life, we can only decide what we wish for our lives, he is doing the same for his.

This early Cat stuff us somewhat new to me, not all of it but this one is, nevver heard it before & I love the unique difference within this song, it's unlike anyone else from this era in r&r...this is what classic rock is all about. hes always been a performer, i still wonder what changed him from this to that. i do love his music (saw him in concert at 12), however i do wonder why he chooses a woman that stands behind him instead of beside him. is that the performer wishing to take the stage or the husband that wishes to dominate his woman. how can u have those beliefs yet pick one that ultimately puts women as less, to stand behind. i dont get it.

Many of you misunderstand.....he wasn't Muslim when he wrote all this great music. As a matter of fact, he gave up music for almost 20 years because of this peaceful religion. Hopefully he will rediscover his Christian faith before he expires.

Just to reaffirm my reply to you. Best Wishes...but he was definately put in a corner. He has only ever meant any financial donations for humanitarian purposes. Hm, well, if you say so...all I can say in my neighborhood, mid to late 1960s in urban Washington, D.C,, you'd better NOT have dressed like that! As I suggested, the only people in the squirrelly Victorian age dress were the Beau Brummels, the Moody Blues, and other English bands, and I'd wager that once offstage, they preferred turtleneck and jeans. This, in fact would have been a better look for Cat. I imagine back then just starting out, you copy the successful people!

His early songs were to me hit and miss and this is a miss to me. The chorus is rather weak and the song average. Also Mike Hurst overproduced his music which is why Cat left him. After his illness, Cat's song went to another level and he dropped the Top 40 pop style and became a much better songwriter and singer.
