  • that's a regular megapixel digital camera. it takes photos but it does not have the video camera function. however, the iphone can be hacked to download applications that allow you to video record but unfortunately apple seeks out those apps and delete them so they only work for a little while. but hey, thanks for letting us all know that you don't have an iphone and you know absolutely nothing about what you speak.

  • How long does the battery last? Cause that's kinda a large screen to power if browsing through file's or call's or just figuring out the phone can take awhile.

  • its a touchscreen with 2MPx.accelerometer?are you going to spend all day rotating your phone? it lacks a card slot, Java (possibly Flash), 3G, games, speed dial features.ur paying 499-599$ with 2yr contract! Apple has no experience in the phone industry.u have to use iTunes for loading music and video.u cant use a stylus or gloves or anything other than your fingers when you touch it. it does not sync using WiFi or bluetooth.virtual keys make it slower to use than a Blackberry.

  • Well yes that's the crazy thing about the iphone. My old Motorola A1000 is touch screen and has 2 Cameras so can do face to face video calls and like they came out about 3 years ago and can be picked of 2nd hand on eBay for like £50 (ukp)

    Do your research people, though it does LOOK cool, there are phones hundreds of dollars cheaper that do everything this phone does AND MORE. You're a sap if spend that much money on that phone, if it's ever $300 cheaper it might be worth a buy.

  • a regular ipod (or this) would be far too bulky for working out. When I'm on business... I usually have my laptop to watch movies on and what not. I've never really understood the fascination with the bulky ipods (for those not living in the city) and this is even more curious. yeah, it looks cool but come on... I need something 'tactile'. that touchscreen BS sounds like $hit to me.

  • I could see the value in something like this if I lived in the city and traveled on public transportation a lot. But, like many if not most americans, that's not the case. Since I only need an mp3 player when I'm at the gym, even 1gb is too much so my ipod nano more than does the job.

  • It's not too much of a ripoff. You're getting a widescreen media player with a cellular phone, as well as web access and a virtual GPS system (Google Maps) for $500. But the hype will be short lived unless Apple makes a move. Cisco Systems just filed a lawsuit against Apple for using their trademarked name 'iPhone', so who knows.
