  • That was powerful at the end....

  • I have it dude thanks for putting a positive spin on it

  • I have A.D.D. too. This video made me cry because I realized that I'm not dumb, that I can go far! BTW i favorited this video. :)

  • Do you have a stable job???, can you do your job right??

  • How do you focus when youre driving?

  • *multi not multiple

  • I don't have ADD or ADHD but my brain can easily multiple task about 10 different thoughts at once while being focused, I do have OCD not that that effects any thing but....

  • its wierd i dont have ADD and yet i think the same way

  • This video really opened my eyes... A brain in a way. -3 you and your videos Cory

  • J.D. FROM SCRUBS BASICALLY

  • Thanks Cory you have inspired me to do covers on YouTube i have ASD which is different from ADD but i don't give a crap cuz i want i want no matter what

  • It gave me the idea for the novel I'm currently writing, 4 years after coming up with the idea, so it's not always bad. I DO wish I could concentrate better, though.

  • I have ADD. I haven't been diagnosed by a doctor, but I don't need to be. My mother refuses to believe me because she thinks ADD is something horrible, and points out that I'm not hyper. She doesn't see the difference between ADD and ADHD. I got distracted three times just during your video. Some of the time I don't really mind it, because it is probably what gives me so many story ideas. For example, when I was 11, I always wondered why people weren't born with crazy hair colors. (continued)

  • i suffer from a blood disorter and it effects my ability to stay in a position for a certain amount of time

  • I think like an ADD person but I don't have it? I have gotten bestest for it

  • Too be honest...

In my opinion, I think that ADD is not a disease at all. It is just something made up so people can ignore you if you decide to randomly change subjects. To me anyone with ADD acts completely normal, after all you can't remember everything.

  • @JustFluffyMe123 yea every night i watch youtube till im tired

  • What if you can multitask in your mind but you don't have ADD?

  • i have ADD thats why my mom put me in online school but im still failing it sucks :(

  • I personally don't think that ADD is a real thing, and this is coming from a person that was diagnosed with it. Now Insomnia (which I also have), cancer, and many other diseases are real but they are being set aside because this kid can't focus in school. I don't think that is fair at all.

  • but i agree it i a gift bc i know we would not be abled to do things like u comming up with ides for your videos bc i know are better ideas come from being add. i also was woundering where you can get the t-shirt you mentioned about?

  • corey you are awsome brillant and an inspiration to others with add. I also have add and have since i was much younger and i totally agree with you on looking at add is a gift etc and know many brillant and smart people are the ones who have add bc of the way our minds work bc everytihng u said in the video fit me to a tee in how my add is.

  • Wow, you're an inspiration!

  • I THINK i have ADD because i do the same thing like im a entertainer a inventor i multitask in my head i have a hard time focusing but i havent been told im diegnosed with it yet so i think i might have it

  • I've had ADD since I was a kid. The only way I can relax and shut my brain off, is to watch tv while playing games on my phone. Anyone else have a hard time sleeping?

  • i have a.d.h.d!!! we dont suffer!!! right on Cory:)

  • I have a.d.d. :)

  • Wow. I think I might have A.D.D now

  • You. Are. Brilliant.

  • i areee

  • i have add

  • Comment removed

  • love ur vids!!!!!!!!!!

  • what happened to your dog?

  • so strange

  • I have ADHD. But it's fun.

  • I have a.d.d Im 13 i was diagnosed when i was 6 i agree with all of this

  • ok so im watching the video and i look at the ad near it i read how to get rid of anal fissures... now im posting a comment during the middle of a video

  • I think I have it. Or I just forget to do something after another

  • Befor I watched this video my family and teachers thought I had A.D.D and I was ashamed of it I didn't want to go see the doctor and I refused to believe that I had it but this video has opened my eyes and now I don't care what other people think. Thank you Mr. Safety your awesome!!!!!

  • Read your description, because that is how we "multi" people are, and because it is the right thing to do. You gave us your time when you created it. The least we can do is give you a few seconds to read it, and of course watch your video. Ignore the people who "feel that way." They require quite a lot of work, mostly from God and Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit. Let go of the negative people and seize opportunity to meet new people who are like you or who WANT TO KNOW ABOUT YOU. ---Sis---

  • EXCELLENT ..... unexpectedly enjoyed your ADD video, though I was not pleased with bad words near end. I have never researched ADD and likely will not, no need because you explained it in plain english which can be understood by even a child. What I heard prior to now about ADD is that ..... uh, whatever, I must have slipped for a few seconds. I am truly multi-tasked and nobody has mentioned being "tested" for ADD. Great. It would not change me. I focus fine on several items simultaneously

  • I love having ADHD

  • I want to have A.D.D.

  • A.D.D

  • I have A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. =D

  • I think I have add

  • Dear Cory: I have to say that I love this video because I have dyslexia. For the people who read this and do not know what is dyslexia it is when peoples ability to process information while reading, spelling and comprehension this means that words and numbers get all mixed up when we are reading or wring. I also have ADD jest like Cory. For me it has taken years for me to be able to read, spelling and do math and even now it is hard for me. I am posting this because even if only one person r

  • I DO TOO !!!

  • OMG ME TOO XD

  • i got both add and adhd

  • nope A.D.H.D

  • Or a.d.d

  • i have A.D.H.D

  • Were did u get the. T shirt

    Ps. I have it 2

  • My ADHD is a part of me and im not taking meds to "fix" me because nothings wrong with me

  • I'm pretty sure I have ADHD my teachers say i might i look it up and i have a lot of the symptoms but my mom refuses to get me checked for ( u know like take the test at the doctor's office or whatever) so I guess I'll never know 4 sure. I wish I did though.

  • Thank you Cory I have ADD and ADHD and I now know they are gifts Ty for explaining it to me -Rockwolf out :-)

  • To all you people who think you are offended.

Having ADD is neather particularly bad or good. Being able to focus on one thing at a time has it's benefits, and so does the brain multi tasking that comes allong with ADD. Someone who doesn't have it is still capable of abstract thinking, it's just more common to have that be your basic state of mind if you have ADD or if you're dyslexic, or plenty of other things. There are lots of "disorders" that are neather a blessing nor a curse.

  • thank you cory i thought ADD was a curse but now you changed my perception on it thank you cory thank you

  • wtf. this video is why Cory isnt a doctor. He just described abstract thinking vs concrete thinking, not ADD. lmao. wow.

  • A.D.D is not something to joke about or not take seriously. At this moment in time I AM suffering from my A.D.D. I can imagine what it's like to control things and enjoy your A.D.D, but I can also clearly see the difference between NORMAL people and myself with my A.D.D in behavior. It makes me mad as hell when someone doesn't take my troubles serious (see the characteristics of A.D.D). At this moment I really need help, because the A.D.D is running fast and I can not control this right now....

  • @77HadassaH77 k. why don't you go get your chill pill then? btw you seem to be able to at least have the attention span to write your comment.. I don't think your A.D.D is that bad lmao

  • @Hardy123Zhao Then you have no clue what it's about and how long it's taking me to write these comments...I have ADD but that does not mean I'm incapable of doing anything ya know....

  • @77HadassaH77 oh you capable of doing stuff.. so whats the problem?

  • People with A.D.D link everything with everything at the same time, on and on and on we go.... seeing connections with everything, everywhere all the time and it's unstoppable, the inner world of an A.D.Der is amazingly big.....

  • @77HadassaH77 heckles yeah

  • a.d.d cant remember i damn thing

  • I don't think about you having ADD,because i don't believe in it ,and you know why?

Because your a great man ,look at what you did for millions of people myself included.

Eh i'm boring you ,and maybe others but its my opinion .

  • Thank you Cory :)

  • If you would have never mentioned it, I would have never guessed you had A.D.D :)

  • @Trinifae I'm actually the same way.

  • If that really is a.d.d. Then I honestly think I have it slightly.

I always say, "I'm not random, you just can't think as fast as me!" :D

  • Hey corry... never seen you having problems with add lol!

  • 4:55 i'm not sitting in a chair :P

  • @darklink2468 damnit meen 5:19 ...

  • I have A.D.D...I used to hate it because I would get distracted is class by looking at something and then I start to draw it. But now I love it because it helps me think of crazy things to draw for my friends to see.

  • I used to be ashamed of my ADD... not anymore! Thanks Corey!

  • u rock

  • I've had A.D.H.D. for as long as I can remember and I have been proud of it every day of my life. You, my friend, are a true inspiration. Thank you for giving me the motive to continue with my life and teaching to be proud of what I am. Again, I thank you.

  • ADHD is anger problem, ADD isnt so better to have ADD than ADHD. theres no pride or no shame in having ADD or ADHD,nobody really cares you're just a person like everyone else. you can always learn to control the ADD/ADHD.

  • ADD = creator? Well my hopes and dreams are that muck closer! :) thanks Corey.

  • I actually do believe I have A.D.D - not because of this video but I recognize things I do. Like with the ocean example and the multitasking in my head.

  • I heavily disagree with the last part: "I'm not suffering from ADD. I'm suffering from being human." No matter what you're suffering from, whether it's biological, physical, or psychological, you're still a human being. Nobody in this world is ever perfect or will be perfect. Every single person has a problem. If you're considered non-human just because you have a biological, physical, or psychological problem, then we're all not human as well. And with that being said, you are human, Cory. :)

  • @BabyWugglez wat?

  • I have ADHD combined type, thank you for making this video. I hope people watch it because I'm so sick of seeing the videos of people making fun of people with ADD and ADHD. I'm currently working on a book (between my studies and work) about my experience with ADHD and making it through college as an engineering major.

  • i have add pretty badly. when needed i can utterly control it but i enjoy myself alot more when i let it loose. my humor and i just love it. it fuels my abilities as a graphics designer and a entertainer. i get alot of people that ask me wher e i get the ideas for my rambles and i just say. its who i am. :)

  • Thank you. It makes me feel much better about me being unable to focus. (Sucks for academia. But awesome for creative processes ha!)

  • Wow, thats true, I feel you, I got that too and it sucks at how much I can't focus, teachers think im retarded:/ and I know all the subject but they don't believe meD:

  • i have A.D.D and A.D.H.D

  • Thanks

  • i just realized i have A.D.D

  • fuck thats me o_O i cant talk to a person do something without thinking about something completely different no just a quick thought no like a full thorough visual though in my head for example i can be talking to someone and be thinking how to better make my buildings in minecraft or a better strategy in a game or a video idea but still be in the conversation and knwo what they were talking about. i don't even notice when i do it either

  • I have A.D.D and I feel the same way all the time.

  • This video has the wrong title it should say gift instead

  • where can i get that shirt

  • Man, and this is NOT trolling or anything, your an awesome person!! really great vid

  • thank you so much

  • continued...

Other things like, im trying to think about somthing (like telling myself a made up story) then i all of a sudden black out and start thinking about somthing else! its so freaking annoying. :(

  • @TheSniperbrat21

Hi Sniperbrat, there's no way someone can answer your question without a full evaluation, because there are too many things that can affect comprehension and concentration. Explain it to your teacher/parents. Your school should be able to help you.

  • i allways wanted somthing to be wrong with me so i have somthing to think about. I dont know... i wouldn't mind know if i had add or somthing. i meani get good grades in school but pay zero attention to my school work. k im on one question or somthing, then i hav no clue what i read. i hav to read it like 1,000,000 times so i understand what i just read!!!!!! every single day all the time! i only get good grades cause of bonus and other projects worth a lot of points. Is that some of disorder?

  • oo btw i didn't watch the whole video i have add 2 soo it's hard to keep up yeahmean!!

  • hey man i also did a video on add please check it out

  • All great minds don't think alike

    Sry I messed up

  • All minds don't think alike

  • To finish my previous statement,

There are actually many benefits to learning differences ( not disorder) ADD actually can give you heightened awareness in day to day life along with the ability to run through many situations at the same time to fine the optimum solution

Dyslexia is known for being a very difficult differences depending on the severity, but it brings creativity and ideas that would never of even been thought of by a normal person.

In all I think what I am trying to say is

    " A

  • I to have ADD and dyslexia but neither are very severe but I go to a special school for kids with learning differences and for that I am very grateful. You are very right that no one suffers from these learning differences ( they arent conditions or disorders like many people state) they suffer from the frustration of knowing how smart they are wile having these difficulties that regular kids that are half as intelligent as themselves are surpassing them in school( as I did many years ago)

  • How would you know if you had A.D.D or A.D.H.D? From how you describe it, I'm the Exact same way. In school, Every time I try to focus, something pops up. Ex. I always forget what i'm talking about, just about every day. One time, I was in a big, long, conversation, then I just blanked out. It happens alot, but I was just wondering if that was common or if it just normally happens to every person Now and then. Thanks for taking the time to read this message, and please take a second to reply.

  • @YugiohLover15 The only way to know for sure is through an evaluation. There can be different reasons for what you experience. I think it happens to everybody but not to the degree that they're concerned about it. Simply put, you sound like you're having "executive functioning" problems which affect concentration, but it may or may not be ADD.

  • @YugiohLover15 this happens to me to! like when i read your comment I BLANKED OUT! but i have A.D.H.D and a touch of as-burger, not A.D.D

  • @jigglefairy321 u might have the same kind of dyslexi I do. There's primary and secondary. Primary u have ur whole life. Secondary u slowly grow out of. I have secondary, from wht I read u migh have secondary

  • I only see disorders as just a thing that makes us more interesting and different in a amazing way, I have C.A.P., A.D.D. and dyslexia. I hide my disorders very well, and I absolutely hate taking pills everyday to feel normal. One day my class was making fun of A.D.D. ppl I felt like crying, but I just stood up and said "I have A.D.D...." the whole class looked at me shocked. But it felt good. So I now act crzy and proud of my disorders I don't care WHT anyone says I HAVE ADD AND I LOVE IT!!!!!

  • I have ADHD, AS, dyslexia and dyspraxia, I get people on you tube saying that I'm not because I can spell, it bugs the hell out of me because I'm only using auto correct, I've also made it into a grammar school and people say i don't have any of those things, but I do, I've just mastered them, I'm going to Cambridge next year too. And I'm proud

  • @jigglefairy321

omg i have all that 2 but more and i spell like shit btw

cheack out my channel i also did a vedio on add

  • Your very last statement was absolutly awsome "Im not suffering from A.D.D, Im suffering from being human." I thought that was one of the best things ive ever heard. My brother is autistic witch in some ways is simmilar to A.D.D he hsa trouble satying focused, but people always say hes suffering. I would be able to say to them exactly what you just said in this video. My brother truely is one of the brightest individuals i know and will probably go further than i ever will be able to.

  • Right in man, whoa there's a butterfly!

  • Hi Cory! I wasn't surprised at your announcement of your ADD. I've been watching you since the beginning of the Mean Kitty videos and fell in love with Sparta & Loki! I stumbled across this video because I was searching for information about ADHD. My symptoms have existed all my life, but for some reason I never put 2 and 2 together.I'm convinced that I have it but not yet diagnosed. All clues point to it. Maybe this is why I've felt so connected to your style of entertainment! Thanks for this!

  • Holy shit! This video may have just changed my life

  • I have ADHD and AS (asperger syndrome) I live I try to speak my mind (when it wont get me into to much trouble such as the "wacky home") and I'm in flipin collage sure I dont have the highest grades but I can pickup on something "normal" people wouldnt figure out for hours in 1-3 trys just by watching now WHO'S SUFFERING WELL WHO?!

  • wow, i have ADHD and you just changed my life thankyou

  • For anyone wondering what ADHD is,

    All

    Dudes

    Have

    Doritos

  • i have A.D.H.D, i think im growing into A.D.D. and live well with it, but im suffering from a studder problem, i wanna make good YT videos but in every video i studder at least once, no matter how well i know what im talking about, i allways studder

  • a boy in my class has ADHD and he always seems to be happy about it. he never complains or uses it to his advantage, he just gets on with it. But it is quite clear he has it because he's always quite random, which can sometimes be really annoying to the rest of us, but without him in the class it wouldnt be the same :)

  • ADD and ADHD are nothing but bullshit "diseases" or "conditions" created by the big pharma to get the people addicted on their drugs and bring in profits.

  • Going off on people will not change their ideology. YOU have a different view from what society tells people and most, unfortunately, they go by norms. It is a 5 years down the line and I hope you might have learned that. I also hope people watch your videos and see it has many views, not all negative.

  • NUMBER ONE ADD PERSOn ALBERT EINSTEIN!!!

  • so THAT'S why my thoughts are so much more sophisticated than everyone else.

Cuz i watch those shows where people read other peoples minds and i think, if someone were reading my mind, their mind would be blown ^^

  • strange, I also have ADD and after watch this vid I now understand why ev1 tells me that I over-analize things in life, cool I also have a hard time focusing on 1 thing at a time cause I'll be doing 1 thing then start another thing and forget to go back and finish the 1st thing, lol good vid and thanks!!

  • i actually didnt know you had a dog :S

  • I have adhd and im always being told that im so smart because im always thinking always absorbing knowledge and its hard to fucus it all in sometimes... but im starting to control the hyperactive part :)

  • Comment removed

  • Well, I sometimes spend days on end thinking constantly.

    I think I have ADD.

  • people with ADD+1 people without ADD+0

  • I have adhd and i have fun with it :) and i love the vid cory.

  • Dude, my friends say I have ADD and Im like no.. I was even on my iPod at the same time... Anyways I can pay attention- my mind is just on a lot of things, do I have it? I also have a lot of energy at all times apparently

  • cool vid mate...ur msg did come out just fine wid da few cuts but i guess dats usual wid us A.D.D folks, i myself have dis great gift and yes i have considered it a gift and not a suffering like oders,i have always portrayed da symptoms of A.D.D as my super powers and tell it 2 ppl in such a way dat dey envy my mind bt we do knw da downside of dis disorder, anyways great vid....n best of luck

  • I have ADD and OCD as a child it was ADHD. Did your parents ever put you on meds that they didnt really know much about? Mine did. Apparently some of the ones I was on (yes more than one) messed with the development of your brain. So now I'm a little slow and not as mature as the rest of my age group. Thanks mom and dad! Also I played with a lighter read my phone and ate cereal while watching this video :D

  • Thanks for such a postive look at ADD

  • THANK YOU!!! *claps* i can be insecure at times because of it but u made me happy :')

  • now that i know just what it is i think i might have ADD... i wander

  • are not allowed by youtube to write anything over 500 words will just say that you are my hero

has struggled with ADD and have been told that I'm stupid.

I know that this is not true, so every time is bullied because of this, or just sad, I look at your videos and think that life is a bit easier to handle.

I think that the way you describe ADD is easy to understand and you exude a joy that makes all nearby happy.

your videos changed me positively, thank you for being you

  • Sadly I would have tald her off but that was a good thing to do and as long as you have fun with ADD you will have fun.

I have ADD and all my friends love me for who I am and we have lots of fun every day that we are around one another and I love your videos.

I am trying to make a business and with my ADD it is taking some time but im so happy to be me.

Keep being you and making all of us happy in the ways you do have a nice one cory!

  • A.D.H.D ID THE H.D VERSION OF A.D.D :)

  • i have adhd and i agree :P im 12

  • i have A.D.D and when tell people this they go. aww im sorry as well. i look at them and ask what the hell you have to be sorry for? im fine. i have someone who loves me, a big family that supports me, a roof over my head. im perfectly fine with the way i am. i accepted it and now im over it. i use it to my advantage. i write more fiction stories, and such. i love haveing it. i can come up with 50 ways to one answer and maybe still get it right. i love my life i wouldnt change it for the world.

  • i have ADHD, and it's not a disorder. I think it's a gift, also. It makes it easier to survive, and be a better student.

  • Comment removed

  • I hav adhd and add.I wouldn't call it a "disorder"kind of a problem.but the thing about the ocean made me think for like,an hour.and otislee08,you don't want meds becus it makes you really tired.and after a while of using it you can't sleep if you forget to take it one day

  • @spankyluvzyou i had to be on meds all through out middle and high school. i hated how it made me feel as well. it felt like part of myself was missing. i faught with my parents to not take it. even my doctor. i told him i didnt like it. i was put on the 24hr one. i hated it so much.

  • I hav adhd and add.I wouldn't call it a "disorder"kind of a problem.but the thing about the ocean made me think for like,an hour

  • @DiamondDreads I'm the same exact way. undiagnosed...mostly because i don't want to be just given a pill. I like the way i am, but i'm working on my organization so i can live better with ADD.

  • I watched this video and at the very same time, planned out my first solo Let's Play. Fuck yea.

  • Over half of everyone who masters a martial art is ADD

  • It's real funny :-) So, some trade their individuality for some "Definition" decided for them ?

  • I sometimes make scenarios like what if in the future this happens or this. For example when I chose this YouTube username I thought about it for a hour at least because I kept thinking what if I get a ton of subs is this how I want people to call me. I would call my case a Semi-ADD lol.

  • Thanks for this!

  • I think I have ADD but I have never been diagnosed. I have the symptoms of it though. This video helped me a lot and gave me some belief. You're the best Cory, thank you! :)

  • I love you Cory :D but i have to say, you are perpetuating a common stereotype here...The sky isnt blue because of the ocean. It's blue because of the colour light becomes when it passes through certain gasses in the atmosphere :D On that note, you are such an amazing person!!!

  • @KurayamiSuna Well not really its the distance the light travels. For example think about the difference about the sky in the noon and afternoon. Sun light travels a lot more in the after noon and the orange and red color sky appears.

  • thank u for sayin something about this sometimes people dont know how to live with what they have i have ADD an yes i will yell it to to world im proud of it its like being sooooo confuzed your mently an phyicaly talented thanks again for sayin something :)

  • I have semi ADD, if that's possible.

  • i was misdiagnosed with add and had to take medication i did not even need. it was horrible

  • Everyone thinks of these kind of birth abnormalitys are such a bad thing, as said in this video... But I think about it.... I feel quite depressed, im sluggish at working, and I sometimes say to myself "I wish I were born with such a gift"

  • just believe. were all suffering from being human. thats what makes everyone unique

  • Comment removed

  • I have ADD and OCD. That sucks. I mean, I cant focus on one thing. This video, really does help me. Because I do think of the craziest things sometimes. For example, what if the world wasnt round. What if it was square. Would it work the same? Could we just like round the corner trying to get somewhere? For my OCD, I have to do a certain thing with my hands a couple times or it does NOT feel right. If someone is touching my arm, it has to be on my shoulder, the crease, or my wrist. Thats it!

  • Is that on a shirt if so were can I get said shirt add and ADHD pride ^^

  • I have ADHD and I'm pretty sure its impossible to SUFFER from it! I mean, I hate it, seriously! But, I don't SUFFER from it! It's just kinda... there... This video rocks harder than an actual rock! It makes me feel AMAZINGLY SPECIAL!

  • FREAKING EPIC! I LOVE THISSS...

  • @DiamondDreads I am preatty sure i have ADHD and I believe what Cory says its a gift not a disorder , is very true I have subscribed to all your mvideos and I love u Cory thank you for telling me ADHD and add is a gift not a disorder u opened my eyes and I am ready to go. I have a question if u met katy perry what would u do

  • i just realise i have add i cant focus some times even if i want 2

  • I'm serious,

You just changed my life, i was always thinking "Awh crap i have ADHD every thing is fucked up". But when i think about it i realise your right, i'm always happy and active, It is a gift the World would be boring without ADHD. Thanks for this awesome video, means allot to me.

  • It just means you are more involved in the wonders of the world around you. It should be called Attention Dreamy Distraction Dis-Order .

I don't loose focus, I just notice the wind in the trees while we make love..

  • I have ADD. Its not that big of a deal. I have focusing problems, but I go through like 100 ideas in a couple seconds. It makes my music production and djing a lot easier and more fun. Its not that bad.

  • Ye So I Was Sitting watching this video , thinking ... 'why do i act like i have adhd sometimes and other times i act normal ? see im acting normal now whilst i watch this video .' until i reasiled i was counting down the seconds the video had to go whilst adding all the views up on the list at the right .. You could compare Adhd to a pet , some people think of of it as the dog that lives next door that keeps you up all night barking,But I Think of it as my Pet dog that i couldnt live without !

  • im 13 and i have ADD i was diagnosed 2 years ago but you made me fell really nice about my self....your my hero cory :)
