Someone asked an interesting question on the internet about the risk of treating the infection which could result in the plaque breaking away from the velcro like grip it had on the lesion. It would be prudent to minimize the plaque as much as possible before treating the underlying infection. Again, i am not a doctor but interested in the subject.

Infections in the arterial lining cause lesions. Plaque forms to strengthen the weakened part of the artery to prevent it bursting as a result of high blood pressure. The same holds true for MS, Alzheimer,s, Parkinson,s, Dementia etc. Infection is the etiology. I am not a doctor, but interested in the sciences.
