I do this professionally myself and have to say that this would be much better if you edited it down to the final concept, turn around, modeling and zbrush sculpt. You wouldn't have to run it so fast either.
Would you ever try modeling in Autodesk Maya? I'm an Animation student at Alfred State and they make us use Maya. I'm in the process of modeling my character.
God, I would love to get into 3d modeling and animations, but those programs look to expensive for me at the moment. Guess its just C++ until college... anyways, great work on the assassin. It looks professional.
Amazing work, a little too fast for me though, I would love a download link for this in normal speed because I love the detail you put into. Great job.
Wow man, you've brought a concept model to life. One more thing to make it really come to life is by animating it. By this way you could prove you created a living.
Can you tell me please what is the second software? that one with black menus? I have a friend That will love to know it since he is starting in "3D modeling"! since now thanks!
very good concept skills. Nice model. But the high res has a very sculpted feel to it. Almost looks like it could be a painted table model for warhammer.
Hi there, I'm trying to get in to character design adn my university didnt do a very good job in showing us all the ways to do it. I have a couple of questions if you would liek to answer them it would be much appreciated.
1) What settings were used for your Photoshop concept art? (Image size, resolution, etc)
2) ZBrush has been causign a few problems for me. What was the process you used to create the normal maps and textures? I seem to have problems exporting the textures.

I haven't seen something like this on YT. You've really taken it to the next level. I kept expecting you to move the model's arms and legs at some point to make it pose in a more natural way, but it was still beyond awesome.
Oh. I thought it was a "you really need to take a break now' timer!", or part of whatever software it is that you use to grab your screen for the timelapse was my second guess.

on my calc it says it took u 19 hours?? is that right
thinkstrait 3 years ago
Close. It took me 18 hours. You included sections which were just the render that did not account for the actual modeling time.
Thanks to all for your comments.

Do you just do character models or have you tried modeling some environments?

I haven't done too many environments. I think I'll do a few weeks if I haven't gotten a job by then.
