@Paul17373 No, not like that, the strings are facing him, you can see the vibrato springs on the open back, look closely, the fretboard is the other way, he's pretending to play the back of the guitar.
haha thats funny he fakes playing on the small piano, and the band freezes movement while music plays, I wonder why they wanted people to know they werent playing the insturments.
Choefoe...you sure about that? His face these days looks like if he smiles too much it would be painful....too bad he had such a sweet face in this vid....
Wonder what happen with people's talent. I can't think of any recent song writer or artist, or band that is talented, original.Back then we had bands like Joe Jackson, Supertramp, Dire straits, and you name it. As of today, most bands copy their stuff, because they don't have the ideas neither the talent and creativity to express something from their soul. Probably that's where the problem relies. The stuff made today is soul less.
Artist of today mostly don,t write their own song or play instruments like the 80,s artist and before. Artist today only have to look pretty and do what the producers come up with, so they,re not really artist like JJ and many others from his time who still perform their own written songs and music and became what they are by working hard and experience ! Today we have instant artist,!
I mostly agree that much "talent" today is green (recycling old stuff), moreso than in any recent era time since disco was big. The singer/songwriter peaked during the 80s & 90s. Carole King & Neil Diamond were unknowns in the 50s & 60s when their music topped the charts. JJ is part of a select group. I love his music and performances, but only like his voice. While you're not wrong, we should not eschew those who can only sing or write. Today's problem is the lack of a musical movement.
My brother hated his voice and kinda liked his music;-) I don,t have problems with songwriters and other artist performing it.Take for instant the Brothers Gibb, they wrote songs for Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, does not mean THEY are lesser artist, I only talk about the groups brought together by producer on their looks to perform a "trick"so to speak"and mostly every song sounds the same .Regards ;-)
To say it more simple JJ went to conservatorium, most "artist" today don,t even rocognize a music note if they see one. ;-))) pull open a few can,s pull over some hot water ,tada, new music group ;-) instant mash ;-)
Big fan of his as well, but must admit to not keeping up with his work as I should lately.Miracle of Science was the last album I bought of his.Still recording?
Exactly-Joe looks great here. And looks like no one else, which is cool. Though he did undergo Botox recently. Doesn't matter- I'm looking forward to his future releases.
I couldn't help but notice that he is wearing shoes...are they planning on patching this glitch?

JJ's early stuff had some great, heavy bass lines.

This sounds very 80's even though it was 1979. Where's the big piano hiding?
Andreas748 1 year ago
@Andreas748
well, the 80s actually began in the late 70s. lol
TimmytheGeek2009 1 year ago
@TimmytheGeek2009 yes, I suppose by 1979 the style and trends had already changed to what we now consider 80's music...

Is the guitar player actually playing? Are those stops deliberate? Did the bass player switch from left to right hand? Do I need some sleep?

when they stop who plays, cool trick

Yeah, that's the word I received - Botox.
His appearance over the past few years or so definitely suggests it. As if it's written all over his face.
Joe looks good in this clip, btw.

It's not the artists, it's the record company's... they are run by idiots that haven't a clue what talent is.
