  • This is in a Swedish TV-commercial for Telenor, after a man successfully installs his new broadband connection in just one step. (not saying it was faked, they probably found it online)

  • This is not a Swedish orchestra, this is Portsmouth Sinfonia.

  • @jako4410 Which song?

  • @britannio It's the theme from A Space Odyssey :)

  • That scared away the aliens

  • Lmao, this is great :)

  • WHO IS PLAYING IN TUNE? STOP IT!

  • First I tried to resist the urge, but I couldn't stop myself and finally burst out laughing.

I live in Sweden. Where was this made? So I can avoid going there... ;)

  • @lynninpain Det är i Örebro.

  • I'm Swedish and this is fucken hilaaaarious

  • OH SWEET GOD MY EAAAARRRRRRSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

*blood starts pouring out of ears*

  • still better than Twilight...

  • is somebody using a airhorn?

  • beautiful!

  • It reminds me of the Portsmounth Sinfonia "version" :P

  • @Nirmadify - I think it is that version...

  • Better than lil' wayne

  • OMG, the junior orchestra I was once part of sounded JUST like this! xD <3 Nostalgia! Oh, the sweet sound of off-pitch trumpets!

  • This video makes me laugh my ass off alone in my room like a twat. Fucking hilarious.

  • Close enough

  • Telenor reklamen

  • omg

  • Sounds like contemporary music

  • They're the best around! Nothing can ever keep them down!

  • Haha, they have made a cd called "Absolute Turkey" with a lot of song on. totally horrible.

  • This is not a swedish child orchestra. This is Portsmouth Sinfonia and the sound clip comes from their CD.

  • There's an elephant in the room.... Literally

  • it would be funnier if it was just a objective topic...

  • well.... the drummer was good.

  • they nailed it, I wanna meet the Guy who plays The Elephant

  • close enough

  • earrape

  • Vad i helvete.

  • @tinkernator This video has been placed on Youtube from a humoristic point of view. Please don't regard this as a serious thing.... I also am a music teacher, and these things make life worth living!!

  • Not... It's the Porthsmouth Sinfonia

  • ouch my ears

  • omg i can't stop laughing.... no nonononononono x'D

  • This is not a swedish child orchestra!! A couple of teachers on a swedish music school decided to switch instruments and try to play this piece, just for fun.

And besides - even if the trumpets tones are absolutely horrible, they are very powerful. It's pretty much impossible for a young child, with undeveloped and small lungs, to make those tones.

  • It's pretty shameful that this has twice the number of views as the properly-credited Portsmouth Sinfonia performance. I guess it's because most people are so stupid that it has to be packaged for them as a bungling children's piece.

  • HAHAHA

  • I fukken love the bass

  • Poor teacher having to endure however many practices of this.

  • I tend to believe poor Zarathustra had a stomach flu that day.

  • If grown-ups performed this it would be called art.

  • they got the spirit of the piece just right

  • like tom and jerry when they play heheh

  • Close enough :P

  • Fake, that is the Portsmouth Sinfonia.

  • im gay

  • I love how no one seems to mind and just keeps on playing.

  • the original vid is better :/

  • ha ha

  • no wonder why the monkeys got crazy at the monolith

  • NAILED IT

  • A masterpiece...

  • Is this the soundtrack for Lost?

  • Seen it about 15 times now, laugh as much every time..

  • Woo, the nature boy, lawls!

  • 0:33 Sounds like an elephant getting raped

  • @sniffman1 haha

  • I´m proud to be swedish, kind of

  • :33 is the sound of unmet wanting. This sounds like an incontinent poop attempt feels.

  • Comment removed

  • Flutes were fine

  • swedish child orchestra, swedish house mafia - potato, tomato

  • The drum at the start was epic

  • Ohhh,,, Dios. Dead boy slim... XD

  • R.I.P. headset user.

  • I'm swedish but i kinda expected worse

  • Well, I'm Swedish but that doesn't matter .. This makes me laugh so fuckin' hard, I LOVE IT xD xD

  • The first time I heard this, I couldn't stop crying I was laughing so hard. What a bountiful blooper. And who CARES if it's staged; it really sounds like a true junior high orchestra - and that is just too hilarious. THANK YOU to whoever put this online! It is brilliant.

  • ROTFL

  • COOKING WITH NITRO!

  • GREAT CEASAR'S GHOST!!!! God bless 'em.

  • Portsmouth Sinfonia, just with another picture on top.

  • This is probably the themesong to all people rising from their beds with a mad hangover

  • The bass tone is fine.....

  • This is not a swedish orchestra! I'm swedish myself and we don't actually teach instruments other than guitar and song in public schools. And we on earth would we play "A space odyssey"?

  • @hackeley Its actually a swedish orchestra. Örebros municipal music school.

  • @Sc0nes Omg...I'm so ashamed... But how do you know all this?

  • @hackeley

Why the fuck on earth not?

  • @xalener Well first of all; we don't teach musical instruments on public schools so if you do want to play an instrument you've got to practise it at a so called musical school. And before you are let into a real orchestra you've got to be good at your instrument. That means no beginners in an orchestra.

  • Second of all; In case you really got to play something in an orchestra for children (at a concert), "a space odyssey" would be a rediculous choice since swedes doesn't really care about space. At least we didn't untill the first swedish man sat foot on the moon (like three years ago or something). The first childrens orcestra I listened to played catchy things like the Beach Boys (and believe me, they were good). Americans are the stupid ones who are obsessed with the first man on the moon.

  • @hackeley

Jesus christ shit the fuck up. You're making Swedes look bad.

  • @xalener Then why did you ask? *sigh*

This must be your way of saying you lost big time.

  • @hackeley You do realize that Also Sprach Zarathustra was written like a hundred years before 2001: A space odessey even came out?

  • @OkstadOo Yes, ofcourse I do. Why?

  • pretty sure this is actually the portsmouth sinfonia...

  • don't think they are Swedish since by the look of it they a wearing school uniforms, and in Sweden they don use that. And the sound is taken from another video

  • Im sorry to say this, but it actually was a good Orchestra that changed instruments for fun :P

    And btw... Im swedish xD

  • LOL, don't you wish you could play like that?!?! :P

  • Haha! Petri Nygård käyttää tota sen keikoilla :D

  • Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!

  • Also I don't see why anyone would upload this just for people to laugh at, not everyone is amazingly talented.

  • This isnt that bad considering that for a wind band to be not crap they have to have some good experience, like beyond what high school can give you. Our school wind bad sucked but our string orchestra was none to shabby. But they had been playing just as long as us, I think wind might actually be more difficult than string instruments tbh.

  • Gosh. They just shattered some poor chap's glass eye!

  • Click on Portsmouth Sinfonia and You'll hear the original!

  • yeah!

  • I'll take "Pick a Partial" for $1000, Alex.

  • Hahaha. : D

  • This is so wonderful.

  • BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

    Ohhhhhhh, that was brilliant.

  • This is not a Swedish Children's Orchestra. This is the Porstmouth Sinfonia (see related videos) which published recordings of them playing music on instruments they had never played before.

  • I really wonder if this is a child orchestra, as opposed to someone channeling PDQ Bach. That low note is pretty rock solid.

  • It's... *sniff* beautiful :')

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahhahahahahahah

  • ...... Bahahahahaha! Just made my day!

  • The kids ARE trying to play the music. Right? OR, is this suppose to be funny; because they really CAN play it? Not sure.

  • Not kidding: First time I listened to it my computer crashed.

  • This. Made. My. Morning... though my ears weren't impressed.

Question: Why'd the orchestra director (or whoever) decide this was a good idea?

  • OMG! That's an insult for my ears! Horrable!

  • Comment removed

  • Who forced them to play something that clearly goes beyond their capacities??? Or is this some kind of joke? It better be ...

  • damn avant garde orchestras and their creative ways.

  • I didn't stop laughing the whole... time!!!!

  • <3

  • This sounds like Rebecca Black, only more musical.

  • bellissimo:)) 0:33 .))

  • FAILTALITY

  • This is not Swedish Child orchestra it's — Portsmouth Sinfonia

  • hahahahhahahaha ^^

  • This is an epic one indeed, and it is my alarm sound, too :)

Although it is not played by a Swedish child orchestra but by the Portsmouth Sinfonia, that "had an unusual entrance requirement, in that players had to either be non-musicians, or if a musician, play an instrument that was entirely new to them" (see Wikipedia). Anyway, this is great! :D

  • .

This song's version is called "so shat Zarathustra" and it was smelling pretty bad!!!

    Composed by Richard Strees!!!

  • Okay, who killed the entire elephant population?

  • @YouGotDoddified 27 people I guess >.>

  • I would love to se the conductors face when they started play!

  • the 508 people who like it are probably deaf, lol!

  • @DaAzisum - Actually, they are NOT swedish. They are british. Search "Portsmouth Sinfonia" from Wikipedia to learn more.

  • @DaAzisum fucking noob we got allemansrätten bitch!
