@gw4pjq It's a slot 1 or slot 2 CPU, made in card type form so they could mount the cache externally on the motherboard for god knows whatever reason. Every release of CPU has it's preferred temperatures. My current AMD has a specified limit of 62 degrees, an old P4 was maybe 90 degrees... etc etc

It's not really possible without some serious abuse and dedication. With the Pentium 4, and on, the computer will shut down once it reaches a certain temperature. You'd have to really overclock, and short it out, or maybe keep forcing the computer on after it shuts off.

For the idiots that think it's a mark against intel that the newer CPU's run hotter... Newer technology will run hotter compared to the P3 because the clock speed is MUCH higher, making much more heat.
