  • I built an RC version of that bird, would knife edge really good but a sudden loss of forward propulsion cured that one day LOL!

  • holy fck keep clicking 4 and u got urself a shot gun lol

  • that looks like some one desiged the aircraft and forgot to put wings on it ... and as a after thought slaped on some canards

  • Holy cow! I remember You building that, it was finished except for paint last time I visited you! Congrats on getting it done and airborne, I hope it's everything you wanted it to be, you sure put enough work into it!

Maybe if I get a chance, I'll stop by if You're still living in the same place and say hi.

Hope to see you soon! (I'm Todd, by the way!)

  • What is the ball park $ to build/own one? Am I correct if I say Bart Rutan had something to do with this design?

  • @hetmanbasza It's not generaly known ...but yes Bart did design this aircraft..then his brother Bert takes all the credit

  • That's not a real Quickie. A real Quickie is Onan powered. ^_^

    Phantastic pictures. Thanks a lot!!

  • @sablatnic I watched him build it. It's a Q-200 powered by a continental O-200. Yes, it's a Quickie.

  • I am not sure that I'm talking to the person who wrote to me concerning a Quickie for

sale, if this does reach that person you can contact me at WALTERCLARY@comcast.net THANK YOU

  • The wing configuration adds to safety. The front/lower wing stalls before the upper/rear wing, meaning that if you stall, the noise automatically falls, helping to restore sufficient airspeed to get out of the stall. Wide track landing gear makes landing easier too. Downside is size of wheels makes landing on grass, dirt, sand, etc. potentially dangerous, so this plane is really best flying from paved runways.

  • @cpovey1 Hi, do you know if a quickie can be flown with a light sport lic? I will soon

have mine and I just love these planes. Can someone tell me who knows about it. I am also interested in buying one so if someone out there has one for sale...?

  • @wc4dblues I have a Q2 70% or so complete. Engine is 2100DQ Revmaster. I have new prop that came with kit and a new Sterba prop. I have the engine airframe lots of parts and supplies. Some instruments. Need exhaust, paint, and interior.

  • @cpovey1 No idea. I am not a pilot, but on of my best friends is an aerospace engineer who is very experienced with this type of aircraft, canards, and light aircraft in general, he and passed the general knowledge onto me.

  • I get an erection every time I see this plane. My girlfriend loves it.

  • suprized that flys. oh it has landing gear "wings"

  • Airplane Porn! Love it!!!!

  • Experimental Aircraft PORN!! Beautiful.....

  • Can Quickie do aerobatics?

  • The still interrupt the flow of the video and become pretty annoying actually. But it's a great in-flight...Thanks for sharing

  • ck. out bd-5 aircraft in miami

  • Aye, very interesting configuration, this aircraft.

  • weirdest looking aircraft i have ever seen. I WANT ONE!

  • You wish!

  • @Xclusiv8 Get an RV-3 instead.

  • How good does this configuration performs on a stall recovery process? anyone know?

  • I can land mine in a full "stall" and flair with throttle.

  • @LTF85199 Just like every other canard type. It falls down.

  • wich airport did u fly out of?? cus we are based in san carlos airport

  • He's out of Livermore

  • I love this airplane! Before I ignored this plane. But now that I read some facts about it Im in love with it! This thing is so agile and doesnt stall amazing!

  • Jim's got the nicest Quickie ever made. It is NICE, and fast to.

  • Nice flying~! Beautiful Q2~!

  • What a cool experimental aircraft. I really dig it.
