Holy cow! I remember You building that, it was finished except for paint last time I visited you! Congrats on getting it done and airborne, I hope it's everything you wanted it to be, you sure put enough work into it!
Maybe if I get a chance, I'll stop by if You're still living in the same place and say hi.
The wing configuration adds to safety. The front/lower wing stalls before the upper/rear wing, meaning that if you stall, the noise automatically falls, helping to restore sufficient airspeed to get out of the stall. Wide track landing gear makes landing easier too. Downside is size of wheels makes landing on grass, dirt, sand, etc. potentially dangerous, so this plane is really best flying from paved runways.
@cpovey1 Hi, do you know if a quickie can be flown with a light sport lic? I will soon
have mine and I just love these planes. Can someone tell me who knows about it. I am also interested in buying one so if someone out there has one for sale...?
@wc4dblues I have a Q2 70% or so complete. Engine is 2100DQ Revmaster. I have new prop that came with kit and a new Sterba prop. I have the engine airframe lots of parts and supplies. Some instruments. Need exhaust, paint, and interior.
@cpovey1 No idea. I am not a pilot, but on of my best friends is an aerospace engineer who is very experienced with this type of aircraft, canards, and light aircraft in general, he and passed the general knowledge onto me.
I love this airplane! Before I ignored this plane. But now that I read some facts about it Im in love with it! This thing is so agile and doesnt stall amazing!
I built an RC version of that bird, would knife edge really good but a sudden loss of forward propulsion cured that one day LOL!

That's not a real Quickie. A real Quickie is Onan powered. ^_^
Phantastic pictures. Thanks a lot!!

@sablatnic I watched him build it. It's a Q-200 powered by a continental O-200. Yes, it's a Quickie.

sale, if this does reach that person you can contact me at WALTERCLARY@comcast.net THANK YOU

I can land mine in a full "stall" and flair with throttle.
