the scary thing is he is playing at a higher level then jimi hendrix, eric clapton, jeff beck at that age and those guys pobably got there at 16-17 or maybe later i cant wait to see the future of this kid
Saw Quinn open for buddy a couple years ago. He played an awesome rendition of little wing. Right now you can still hear so much of Buddy's influence is his playing, which is of course great, but I think it'll be interesting to see where his style goes over the years.
i dont know what everybodys talking about his voice is very good as soon as he gets older he will get the slight rasp in his voice and he will become a god! simple as that
Looks like He's doing it right so far! Joe Bonamassa was opening for BB when he was 12 and Joe's a Guitar God now. But Joe didn't start singing till he was 18 or 20 now at 34 his voice is improving. This guy Quinn is way ahead in that instance!
Gonna be one of the greates in history. This little man plays from the soul and heart. That is the difficult part that one have to be born with. No limits for u little man.
This kid is fine people as he is,he needs to sing to inprove his voice. His voice hasn't changed yet.Besides,it is almost impossible to be a great musician without singing.Bob Dylan,Hendrix,Stevie Ray didn't have good voices, but they understood how to use what they had.All the great blues players have outstanding vocals,Albert.BB.Freddie King,Albert Collins,Buddy Guy,T-Bone,Robert Cray,Joe Louis Walker,Gary Clark Jr,Robert Johnson.Singing allows you to put more feelings in your solos
At times it sounds like a little kid screamin in the mic. At times he sounds a little older. He's at that age were his voice is changin and its all good. He'll be even better with age and as long as he stays clean of drugs and booze he'll live to jam for his grand kids. I hope they wont have to just watch old video's of him and wish they could of heard him play just one time.
Amazing! Buddy sad "what can I say about him"? If Buddy had this question who I am to talk about it? Who can predict what this guy will be play w/ 20 years old? It's amazing, unbelievable!!!
PENTATONIC SCALE PENTATONIC SCALE SLOPPY PLAYING, INSANE AMOUNTS OF DISTORTION.... From a guitarists point of view he's good for his age but average in the grand scheme... There is nothing original about his playing, but he's still good for his age
I saw Quinn & Buddy last night (8/19/11) in Columbus. Fantastic!!!! His voice is changing, he sounds much better singing than he does on this video. The future of electric blues is this boy!!
The only thing I can find to be negative is the constant "blasting" of the guitar. Sure the bells and whistles are nice but I think someone should teach the kid how to play blues.
This boy will make the girls go mental in 3 years time! Another revival for The Blues is on the horizon. I can't wait for spotty, 13-year-olds to be queuing up for a Blues gig! Keep it up Quinn.
When his voice changes, his clothes change and his hair changes, this kid is going to be a phenom. For real. Christ, it's like watching a sunrise for the first time, he's soooo good.
No question the kid can play the blues, although I had a hard time getting by his voice, especially for the blues. I can't wait to see where his career goes after his voice changes because he certainly shows a lot of potential.
