They were mad they lost a war for territory, but that is not the same as believing such an action was fundamentally wrong. Had certain tribes had the technology (Guns, and steel) they would have used it to take land from other tribes. The Europeans were no better or worse that the natives, they were simply better at war.

No. Most (if not all) native american tribes fought wars for control of territory (One of the reasons the aztecs were so easily defeated was through help of surrounding tribes who tired of taking it on the chin from the aztecs. Regarding the 'slaughter', natives fought endless, bloody wars amongst themselves long before Europeans arrived. I find it offensive that people march on Columbus day, but, if Churchill thinks that the 9th[in the way which he interprets it] overrides the free speech right he should be arguing anything that might be offensive. And that really means ANYTHING, because most anything can be offensive to a opposing veiwpoint...even in the terms of human rights.
