True by the name, but pop carries much more than that, because 99% of the time to become pop you have to change everything or portray the image the record companies want thus most pop muscians arn't really musicans just doing what they're told and everything else is made to sound good, Nirvana was one of the last legit bands, and from how this sounds with respect to the band just not nearly as good, and a rule of music is don't cover a song unless your going to do it better in some way.
