@xissemmo A loooong time. I dyed it pink in November, and by the end of February, it had faded to a bubblegum pink that was still totally wearable. Roots become a problem before fading does with atomic pink.

WHAT? 40 volume developer for 90!?!!!!!!!!! minutes?!! my hair is really strong and i've done alot with it, but with a 30 vol developer for 45 minutes, it even falls out a little. ..

@anjou1 I had super, super dark virgin hair. It took that long just to get it to an acceptable blonde, and nothing fell out.

@blakrose12nicole It was probably 80:20 or 85:15. I just barely added some conditioner to stretch the bottle of dye. Atomic Pink is so pigmented that it can take a lotttt of conditioner before it starts to look lighter.

@travisimoto My roots become a problem before fading does. I put fresh pink on all my hair a month ago, and I'm just now starting to notice a little fading. It's still super bright and pretty, though. I've never used Manic Panic, but I always hear that it washes right out. Special Effects is difficult to even bleach out, so you might want to try SFX Fishbowl instead of MP turquoise. They're pretty similar.

@Mend30012 I ordered mine from Newbury Comics on Amazon.com. I've heard that some people have had trouble finding atomic recently. I think it goes through periods of being hard to find and then shows up again. I'm not sure why.

@pheonixphire It just makes the bottle of hair dye stretch a little longer. You can also use the conditioner to dilute the color. If you want a baby pink you don't have to buy it; you can just add conditioner to hot pink.

@maddymania1 It's semi-permanent. Weird colored dyes don't come in permanent, but they do last a while. I've had my whole head pink since November, and I've only retouched the roots. (Different brands vary. I only have experience with Special Effects.) It starts out super pigmented fuchsia and fades to kind of a cotton candy/bubble gum color. It's fun to play around with it and let it fade a little. It stains you hair, though, so it never really fades 100% back to blonde.
