  • hi! this look is fantastic =) Should I use the bigger rolls in the lower part? reducing the size as I go up? (sorry, but the lights are kinda low =D) I really want to try this...(underpinning included, I love my hair, but it's a nice change to have a bob without cutting them)

  • @PensaloBien yes, reduce for the top sections. Smaller rollers at the top.

  • @LisaFreemontStreet Thank you so much!

  • THANKS A TON for showing the underpinning. Every other video I looked at showed the style done with short hair, and it was dirivng me nuts. lol Love it!

  • I don't own a set of hot rollers, but is there any other way you can achieve this look? ps I love love love your videos!

  • @BlameBetty100 sponge rollers would work too...you do need rollers of some kind. Or you can use a curling iron and clip the curl to your head while it cools...

  • Love the make-up! Gorgeous. :]

  • teachh me ! how to be a pinup ! lol :)) i loveee yourr videos !

  • LOved it and I think this is so wearable, I am going to try.

  • i don't know about it being *totally* non-wearable. i kind of dig it as a look to wear to a psychobilly show or something. i would LOVE to roll my hair out like that, and i wouldn't even need to underpin it because i have shorter hair. how did you arrange the rollers? i assume they are all aimed down?

  • @churchofdisco yes, all rollers aimed downward. Thanks!

  • that realy makes your eyes pop

  • I was wondering if your hair was cut in the Middy cut when you styled your hair like this? I'm getting My Middy haircut tomarrow and Im so excited! Took me a long time to find a hair dresser that knew what I was talking about lol.

  • @ZettasMama yes I believe so...at least a version of the Middy. :)

  • Whoa! You hair looks gorgeous even before you underpin it! It reminds me of those old pictures of her with her longer, non-blonde hair at the beach. Oh Marilyn, so gorgeous..

  • I love this look!

  • The makeup is very reminiscent of Twiggy. Nice though.

  • Yes I thought it was very 'sixties' as well...

  • very nice! more light!

  • This is the best light I had, at the time.

  • This is great, thanks!

  • You remind me a lot of Julia Roberts.

  • how lonng should my hair be for thet style to look good

  • Probably could be as long as the middle of your back and still work. :)

  • Love this video; not something I would ever been able to put together on my own. I LOVE the color of your hair. <3

  • you look so classy!

  • Now I really want to cut my hair!

  • don't do it! lol. it's good to know there are other gals that love the pin up look with long hair. it's so hard to style with long hairrrrrrr. =]

  • amazing!

  • what rollers do you use

  • They are the Clairol hot rollers that came out a long time ago that turn white when hot and back to color when they're cool. They're old.

  • Gorgeous, honey! You look FABULOUS!

  • Beautiful!

  • Would love something from you with all the artists or soundtracks you use. I am a hairdresser/make up artist, I think what you are doing is fantastic.

  • There are so many! haha. Thanks, by the way. That means alot since I'm not a professional by any means. Although, now I'm looking into it.

  • is there some of the "Little Voice" soundtrack in there? Awesome.

  • Yep...;-)

  • I adore that movie. You rock.

  • heyy :)

i LOVE this style. the hair is DIVINE

but i have pretty long hair [about 3/4 down my back]

can you reccomend a vintage/retro style that would work with that length hair?

    x

  • Thanks so much...check out Ilovegerardo's hair tutorials for long hair...:)

  • beautiful!!!

  • absolutely lovely!

  • Thanks Sari! That's alot coming from you!

  • I love the red hair!

  • now im gonna go buy some hot rollers=]

i have to try this look out, though the make up seems a little hard, but i'll try.

great video by the way you look stunning.

    <333

  • very pretty :)

  • I really loved the way you did this one:) It's so fun!

  • golly you are always so amazing! thank you for this!! more more!

  • i cannot wait to try this...i have tried several of your tips that you offer in some of your other vids and i have received several compliments...gonna go wash my face and try this make up!!...

  • Nice

  • Your hair looked fantastic!

  • What lipstick and gloss did you use? thanks

  • I used I Am Trouble's matte Mauve lipstick and Cover Girl Wetslicks in Sugar Maple. Thanks!~

  • If someday some tv show calls you I won't be surprised ! You are really talented ! Yes, you have a natural gift for making up and taking care of your hair !

I really enjoy your channel !

And always a good taste for the choice of songs and musics !

By the way who is the singer and what is the title of this marvellous song : 3:11 ? I looove it !!!

Hey ! Will I be the only one man here ??? ;-)

  • Wow...thanks! That song is Makin' Whoopie by Michelle Pfeiffer. :)

  • Wow ?! Michelle Pfeiffer sang too ? :-o She is definitely great ! I love this actress !

  • Lisa Thank-you another totally awesome video, love when you got into the kids too...finished product was amazing. I am a huge fan, my housewife life is a little more glamourous because of you...

  • The last song... What is that??

  • It's Big Spender from the broadway play, Sweet Charity. This version is sung by the actress Jane Horrocks.

  • Love the hair, it's so cute! :D

  • Haha! Funny mommy moment. Gorge look. as usual

  • that was great. i love the trick with the liner for the crease. do you think that will work with asian eyes?

  • Actually it's an 'eye crayon' which is like a stick eye shadow...not a liner (though you can certainly use it as one). But it will work fine for asian eyes. :)

  • Such a glamorous look! I love the underpinning demonstration; it's something I haven't really tried yet... :)

  • It is surprisingly easy and looks really cute w/ certain outfits. Also, you'll like the reactions of friends who will think you've cut your hair off. :)

  • lol! I think my husband would flip if he thought I had cut my hair even shorter. Too bad April Fool's Day has already passed! hehe!

  • j'adore! bravo! = )

  • What kind of bobby pins do you use? I bought some bobby pins, they are vidal sasoon bobby pins, and they suck major. They bend really easy and it's really annoying. I probably ruined at least 10 bobby pens from trying to open them and they got bent on the top and not align with the bottom piece of metal.

  • Yikes...that kinda sucks. I use Sally's Beauty Supply's brand. They come in a convenient little tin box about the size of a matchbox. They hold really well. I do not use the ones they sell at Wal Mart (they come on a card) because they bend really easily too and they pull my hair.

  • Thank you very much!! I love your videos! Have you ever tried rag curls? I rag curled my hair yesterday for a first date, and some of the curls turned out really nice, and others didn't. I've never pin curled before, but I am going to get my hair cut and try it. Right now I have hair down to my bum, so cutting will be a little sad for me, but right now it's so long and limp and has no style. I have hair that is kind of fine, but not super fine. So, hopefully I will be able to pin curl easily. :)

  • Yes I do rag curlers sometimes. I like them alot. Wow, your hair is long. I would cut it a little before attempting pin curls...even if your hair is fine, I can't imagine that it would hold in pin curls at that length. Maybe to the middle of your back.

  • My hair is super long and I do pin curls all the time. It takes a LONG time but it comes out so pretty for a few days!! just don't use hair wax with it...

  • Thank you so much for the reply! I have a hard time with my hair because it's fine, and my hair slips out of my fingers quite easily... I am thinking if I get my hair cut shorter, I might be able to handle the hair easier.

  • this awesome u look amazing thanxs

  • I love it... thank you Doll!

    XOXO

    Lizzi

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

  • Woah...someone else claimed it was them. Ah well..maybe I got two requests for this look and didnt realize it. Glad to oblige. Hope you thought it did the photo justice. :)

  • I loved this !!!

  • I loved it from beginning to end.

I will try it as soon as I can. Love the underpinning.

  • It looks beautiful!!!! I was overcomplicating it. Thanks again hunny! You may not be a model but you do have an angellic face xoxox

  • It was lil ole me!!!! Thanks soooo much dollface!

  • haha...I was beating myself up over that! How do you think it looks? Unfortunately, I'm not gifted w/ the almond shaped eyes and angellic face of that gorgeous model..but the technique was fun to try and recreate. :)

  • Love this! I'd love to try it (once I get the hang of my rollers ;))

  • i love how you pined your hair up to make a bob! awsome video!!!

    xoxo

  • love it :) btw what's the name of the song?

  • the second, I mean

  • Makin' Whoopie' by Michelle Pfeiffer from the Fabulous Baker Boys Soundtrack. Thanks.
