@iReNto Jason Robinson? it seems you are forgetting one of the most legendary players ever to play for england. Since he retired no-one has added the same edge he did to the english back 3
typical fuckin weak cunt pommy faggot at work their fuck you pricks are disgracful in world sport. who is cohen? larkham one of the best fly halves of all time. nuff said.
@eRaGoN0dRaGoN like england in the 2003 world cup final. oh, and england in the quarter final of the 2007 world cup. OH, and england vs. australia in the recent autumn internationals. you twat.
@nsantha2 it woulda been exceptable if he punched him when he was on his feet. but kicking a man in the face while he's down, no matter what he'd done, is typical of the english
larkham was taking out runners without the ball from kick off, he did it to tiny jason robinson three or four times, when he messed with the bigger cohen he got kicked in the face (accidentally or not - although it looks innocuous, Cohen just wants to get involved in England going forward), serves him right.
he never even kicked him! he was tryna break free, so hes wriggled his foot around, what the hell? he tackled him off the ball, whatever happens to the man tackling off the ball is his own fault
Cohen never had the ball, larkham saw the runner and took him before he had the ball. Even if cohen had been passed to ball the tackle would still have been early.
No. Rugby is a gentleman's game. The reason it was adopted by the other schools (apart from Rugby School, where it was invented) was because it allowed for aggression in a disciplined manner. You concentrate on the rugby more and don't give away penalties. And it's much better just to rinse the guy later in the game with a tackle. That is time-honoured and very effective.
Spot on... if someone is dumb enough to do this then they should expect a retaliation, and in this situation Larkham got what he deserved.. It was clear Cohen didnt have the ball and Larkham should have known better
Yeah. I can defiantly see why he did it. Even being an Ausi fan, and it would of been hard not to do something, with all the hype of the game n that. But yeah, Larkham didnt "deserve a kick in the face" in my opinion.
Irrespective of whether it was intentional or not Larkham deserved it, holding back is a horrible, soccer style offence and should be dealt with severely, as should play acting or dissent to the ref... I'm with Cohen on this one!
How can you guys possibly tell? There is no conclusive camera shot showing Cohen kicking SL. All Larkham managed was to eat Cohen's heel. If you don't like Cohen (I mean YOU as in general terms not Flanking specifically) it doesn't mean therefore he MUST have kicked Larkham.
To be honest I don't really think there's much in it either way. Larkham did anticipate the offload, and the fact that it didn't come in the end (and he "tackled" Cohen without the ball) should have meant a penalty for England, but he certainly wasn't cheating, he just turned out to be wrong. This happens when you have decoy runners. As for Cohen, it looks like that as he's tripping over, he's trying to grip the ground with his foot to get back up, and he's slipped.
Asvadzian, I agree with half. Larkham anticipated Cohen getting the ball and got it wrong - a clear penalty but definitely NOT cheating. Only a moron would think otherwise.
I do not think the boot was deliberate. Cohen was not looking and there was daylight between him and Larkham. He must be a hell of a good shot unless he's got eyes in the back of his head - to my mind, he was pushing off to try to catch up with the ball.
larkham getting penalised fair enough, but that didnt mean cohen had to retaliate. all you poms are hypocrites. everybody makes infringements, but bloody rucking him in the head is way to far
Rucking him in the head? Come off it. Did he get cited? Did anyone complain? Why would he risk the penalty? Look at his record. You are clearly biased as your choice of words indicates.
...the man put his head down and followed through on a tackle... like hes supposed to... if any of the people who are calling it cheating ever played rugby competitively they'd know that it happens... u get rid of the ball just before a tackle... u get hit without the ball... metal studs to the face is not the appropriate reaction...
Although at least it made Larkham bleed, meaning he could take a blood bin rather than be subbed to get treatment. Would have been tragic if he had to have been subbed permanently, and a lot more would have been said about it after the game if that had been the case.
Most players cheat in rugby, or at least play dirty. Its up to the referee to see it and stamp it out early.
As far as I'm concerned, Larkham just held him back, penalty, a kick to the head studs up is a red card though. If one of the three reffs had seen it, that's what would have happened. It was an over reaction by Cohen.

Yeah. I can defiantly see why he did it. Even being an Ausi fan, and it would of been hard not to do something, with all the hype of the game n that. But yeah, Larkham didnt "deserve a kick in the face" in my opinion.

Larkham put himself in that position cox Cohen would have easily got him even if he was just meant to yank it off
Besides, the track record of Cohen isn't exactly great...

I think he does kick him.
Once he falls down there is no need for his leg to re-extend backwards, you can see it rocking Larkham's head.

I remember him holding Marshall down for about 15 seconds in a GP game. Eventually Marshall hit him and got a yellow card.
