basically the mic200 has a bunch of preset EQ/compression modes/voicings suitable for specific tasks. the behringer website would give you a better explanation than i would though.

i use a orange crush 10. i want to get the crush 30 too, but with the crush 10 i play bass through it, i play guitar through it. everything squeaky clean, lightly over driven, grunge-gain, hi-gain, and Teh Brutalz Metal. It does EVERYTHING! Im going to keep it around for recording and baybe use 2 orande crush 30s in stereo live and get a crush 35 bass for recording (better lows). yeah. the crush series is the chameleon of the non-tube world.

well the strat is a japanese squire from the early 80's with a blue lace sensor pickup in the bridge. but the main reason for the good tone isn't the guitar OR the amp. it's the valve preamp that you can't see. a behringer mic100. get one. it's tone GOLD!
