  • Awesome garden wish you had a separate channel for it I would subscribe for sure

  • like your hoops. you've inspired me to make some for my beds so I can keep them going into the winter.

  • Nice job! I might have to post a vid of my garden!

  • That's a huage garden! More like a plantation

Take a loolk at my garden, if you like to!

  • May I make comment for what it is worth , in the 40's 50's and 60's beds we slept in had a tightly woven base of wires they are not made any more, seen many at the rubbish tip being disposed off, akso try the second hand oportuneaty shops so cost next to nothing they are great for sifting all the stones and rock out of the soil,

  • lovely I love the sound of the birds..

  • Would Cypress mulch work for weed control? I just got 10 bags for free. Do you can any of your tomatoes? You should be glad I'm not your neighbor. I have too many questions about gardening and you seem to have the answers judging by your great garden!

  • @2late4me2care I don't know for sure if that will work but google it. I find lots of answers that way. I don't mind answering any questions but I'm definitely not an expert. Everything I do is from trial and error learning. I have to try something to figure out what works best for me. I've been criticized for having my plants too close or too bushy blah blah blah but I do what works for me and I get plenty of produce to preserve and eat fresh.

  • @KristieSue Thanks. I just 'inherited' a tiller and some garden tools. Life was so much more simple before! So far I have two 20x30 gardens, and two raised bed gardens. I guess time will tell! I have nothing to lose since I have no money invested in gardening so far. Your gardens look great and if you're satisfied, that's all that matters!

  • Did the straw work out for weed prevention? I want to try that or the landscaping fabric.

  • @bradkrit The straw worked great. I hardly had to pull any weeds and it kept the moisture in the soil so I didn't have to water as often. Just make sure you use straw and not hay. The hay is too heavy and would probably get nasty and moldy.

  • not enough space between your plants

  • @cpilfold420 I was able to harvest plenty of vegetables using this method. I don't have a lot of space to work with.

  • I really enjoyed looking at your plants. Grow more, use a drip system. Good job!

  • Hello,

How do you water these raised beds.....I dont have a large backyard and was wondering if we can do raised beds in apartment patios ...Pls guide me thanks

  • wow those tomato plants are really packed in there!

  • hi kristie!! is that you on the avatar? you love to fish too? i just built my raised garden last week. and i planted some seeds indoor. when it's ready im gonna transfer it outside. i live in AZ.i use horse manure to fertilize the soil. send u some pics laterz.

  • Yep I like to fish too :) Those aren't all my fish (my husband caught a few) but some of them are :D I'd love to see pictures of your garden. We're getting ready to start some indoor seeds soon too :)

  • Beautiul garden!!

I'd place the "kid area" away from where your peppers are growing - kids just have that tendancy of placing everythng into their mouths.

  • @theroilsoil My kids love bell peppers :) They know not to eat the hot ones :)

  • beautiful garden and I'm positive you'll have a great harvest!

I started late on mine this year.

  • Awesome garden ! Great job !

Your tomatos in the first 30 seconds of this video look AWESOME !

  • beautiful, say what state are you in? When was last frost? I started out this year in March and just got lettuce harvests in mid-late may. I am in British Columbia. Last frost April 1 2009.

  • I live in Missouri and I believe our average last frost is April 1 to April 30th. I started my plants indoors and when I put them out there were under cover for the first three weeks so I got a head start on the growing season.

  • nice

  • Are you able to feed your family year round with that much produce?

Do you plant Organic? Or do you use herbicides and pesticides?

Do you know if the food is genetically modified?

  • All my plants are heirlooms so the seeds are not genetically modified in any way. This is my first year growing from seed. I grew everything myself so I know there were no pesticides or herbicides used. I am learning to compost so that will be my fertilizer for next year I won't be using chemical fertilizers. I believe I will be able to harvest enough to last year round. We use lots of sauces and tomato products so I grew enough tomato's and peppers to make our own. We are a family of 6.
