    I dont think Europe want a Muslim country leading them, Economicaly and Militarywise having Turkey on the west side is a great advantage, thats why America is pressuring the E.U to let Turkey in

    They have a lot of commodities but very few modern productiv processing Industrie. Poland for example did his way and become a modern state with a productive developing industrie. A problem for Russia is the  brain drain of brilliant Russian Heads. The MIG-35 is a very outstanding plane but do not a single part of her are produced in Russia.

    In 2000 we had 29% of poor people (poverty), right now 15%. The unemployment rate in Russia is low - 7% of the economically active population

    France for example in 2001 year had 6.2% poverty, now 13.7%. Unemployment rate in France is 12%, countries like Spain/Portugal is 15-20% and more. That's information from newspapers.
