  • Bush, et al, like Repubs, warned the Congress and Senate years ago about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but the liberals, some who had personal financial stakes in both, refused to investigate. Obama was among the senators to refuse. Ironically, F.M. and F.M. busted and you blame Bush??!!? FOR 5 YEARS LIBERALS REFUSED TO INVESTIGATE THE HOUSING FRAUDS!! Put the blame on Acorn too for threatening lending inst. if they didn't make loans to more poor folks. This is how the market crashed!

  • vice grip strongly believe that this is the work of god vice grip strongly believe god give obama the power to make this world be a better place to live so no matter what they says or do no one in this world cant stop obama

  • Rahm Emanuel is a joke..we now have the "Roosters" guarding the Hen House. The current economic woes lie at Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. He was the "Director of Freddie Mac. Dems fingerprints are all over Fannie Mae going all the way back to the Clinton Admin. Rahm is about a much centrists as the media is saying as Keith Obamaman of MSMBC a non-bias reporter.

  • Perhaps when he says stimulus package he is talking about a tax cut?

  • NO MORE BAILOUTS. DO NOT BAILOUT GENERAL MOTORS!

If Nancy Pelosi presses for this, jusat tell her "Yes we CAN'T !"

    JUST SAY NO.

  • Barrack is only a man. The more you look to him to solve your problems the more you will be disappointed. No man can do what people expect from him. He is gonna give a welfare check to those that dont work at all. That is not fare to those of us who work so hard. The answer for the poor and the middle class is to get a tax cut so they can keep their money and for people to give more to charity like me which is 10 percent for 25 yrs now. Dont look to Barrack look in the mirror.

  • While Obama is technically not really a Black man (we don't choose our race; our parents do), I hope that the race issue - highlighted so very much by his campaign - dies down. I did not vote for him, but he will soon by my president and I wish him well.

  • While "black" is a pejorative term in this country, Obama is as African American as any African American in history--technically, figuratively or otherwise--but your one-dimensional simplistic comment is appreciated.

  • I think that is pejorative term in minds like yours, remember, that we are living in 21th century, american voters said, no more black or white barriers, only a USA. After january 20th you will understand better my friend.

  • I forgot the "caliber" of respondents on these forums, here's some help with pejorative. The US is a country with a complex ethnic makeup in which "black" isn't just a color but part of the American cultural heritage. That is why Obama's election is so special, it's "post-racial," not in race will no longer exist but rather ethnicity wasn't a qualifier... Obama happens to be African-American not the reverse. Perhaps you should at least Wikipedia terms and consider the context before you speak.

  • I Wikipedia'd your name and learned it is a naughty word in Sweden.

  • igthole: It is not about calibers, now I see more clearly your point of view when you said: "black" isn't just a color but part of the American cultural heritage. Your should wrote this before. I like your comment, congratulations.

  • Barracks open tax returns showed he gave about 3 percent. I make a pittance of what he does and Biden was pitiful on his tax return. Like 380.00 a year. My point is if ya say you care about the middle class then why havent ya been giving to them. I watch what they do and not what they preach.

  • why cant pelosi and reed and even obama give their money away. i give 10 percent to the poor and we are middle class. they are the rich and hardly give anything according to their tax returns. practice what ya preach.

  • Is that true that they don't give? Anyways, when you give you should give with an open heart. Otherwise, don't do it if you begrudge it. A lot of people give and don't say anything. But it's very nice that you do

  • No more money for the govt. WE the people need to keep our money then we can spend it. If I need money and ask my parents they give me tons of work to do to earn it. No bail outs. No welfare. If you mess up you clean it up. Terrible beginning with more bailout requests. I wish mccain had the guts to turn the first one down. Six out of 7 Senators who did kept their jobs. There are no free rides.

  • Thats a decent idea but there is a small problem... Taxes are gonna have to go up in order for the government to pay for the debt that the outgoing administration created. If they give us money to spend on the econmy that money goes to big buisness. If they raise our taxes the money goes to the government... which is exactly what this country needs. The government cant spend money they dont have, as you said, and theres really only one place to get it, our tax dollars.

  • Dear God, no more stimulus or relief. Stop spending money that is not there. Cut our taxes and we will have plenty to spend and help the economy. Even I can figure that out. So easy. Cut taxes and people stimulate the economy with their spending. help!!!!!!!!!

  • He will cut taxes for the middle class. Moreover the stimulus he proposes is to create jobs. Over a million people have lost their jobs this year. Meanwhile the country does need economical cars and a rebuilt infrastructure. This way we will be working on several problems at the same time.
