The pharmacist will get a little profit for selling each product - not a lot of profit for selling just one product. I've thought, since the advent of TV drug ads, that they pretty much turn the Dr./patient relationship on it's head. It used to be that the doctor would examine the patient, & utilizing his/her expertise, make treatment recomendations based on what the examination revealed. Now, patients, without any formal training, are encouraged to make recomendations to the Dr., turning her/him into little more than a sales rep for the drug company. Helluva way to manage health care!
