It's not a racist ad at all, but somehow, it comes across exactly like that.. i think it's the whistle.. and at 20-21 the look she gives the salesman is pretty bad.. All these things are natural when dealing with salesmen.. it shouldn't have been an Indian Salesman, they're mainly on the phones anyway

I don't know about racist but defenantly sends the wrong message about domestic violence. Just look at the hubby he looks like he has been the subject of of psychological abuse and is scared of the wife. Then she physically assaults him by pulling him by the ear without a wimper. Imagine if that was reversed there would be uproar of violence against women.

The householders should of been indian also or sudanese, lebonese or asian. Maybe even mixed marriage. The ad is sterotyping the typical aussie family as white anglo saxon and this is racist to all other nationalities. Australia uses to many anglo people in thier T.V shows and commercials at the expence of the broader community who aren't of that particular race. Totally disrespectful and 100% racist towards all other people.

This ad is pretty ridiculous but it isn't exactly "racist" or "stereotyped" either. I live in Melbourne, Australia and it isn't racist to show an Indian as a door-to-door salesman; it's merely factual. Most door-to-door salesmen are Indian. Our Optus broadband connection was done through one of them. I'll admit the whistle was a bit much though; seemed rather unnecessary.

All these telephone, electricity and gas door to door salespeople are fucking Indian right across Australia.
