I need help! I can't unlock the door that takes me where Luigi is supposed to go! My kid has beaten Bowser a few times already but apparently the key he gets is not the one! He already has 33 stars but we don't know what else to do!

@shortcakepr You need to either:

A.) Watch Part 12 of this series or

B.) Use Mario to go to Course 5 and go to the bookcase room. Use the power flower to get to the place right above you. Luigi's portrait is right in that door (Also 2 stars). From there, go to your right, then to the door on your left, then to the door on your right, and then one more left and there you will need to cross a bridge then go on platforms leading to the King Boo I believe. You need to hit him 3 times to have his key

The closest he ever got to be in a main series Mario game was in Paper Mario 2, where if you combine the Luigi and Wario badges, you get Mario's clothes looking like Waluigi's. And BTW, Nintendo Power said he was playable, but that turned out to be an April Fool's prank.

I'm not one to judge, you can save a lot of time by doing a spin jump off of the top of the wooden sign. And that's if you're not intending to collect the secret Stars.

This is actually one of the handheld remakes that I think is actually an improvement from the original game. The Mario Advance remakes were also very good in gameplay but the music quality is obviousely not as good due to it being GBA. One remake series though I did not really care for was Donkey Kong Country. The remakes of those had very clunky controls and the music and sound was butchered so horribly. This took away the epic atomsphere of those games.

i laugh at people who say : "graphics of super mario 64 DS are better than the ones of original super mario 64". ITS EPIC FALSE, just look at this video, graphics are so fucking pixel and blur. they are horrible. the graphics on the n64 were more stable, better colors, textures, less pixel, etc. supe mario 64 DS ruined alot of things by putting some unnecessary power ups in some levels. in example, they put a red block in the boo haunted house so its too easy to get on the roof of the house now.

I doubt the N64 game would look better if it lacked bi linear filtering

@TheXaviAmi You need to do the 2nd bowser level in the basement. (30 stars) win and get the key for the top floor. change to luigi the follow the vidio from the start.

BEWARE: If your scared of the Sushis, Manta Rings, Chirp-Chirps and Whirlpools, then your trapped at your progress until you lose the fear.

If you mean the Virtual Console download of SM64, then the question is irrelevant. SM64Ds has so many differences from the original, it's almost a whole other game.
