I've got another question about the game. What do you know about the "hidden keys"? They were mentioned on a flyer for this game and are said to open new paths during gameplay. Do you know how to find these keys?
@sideliner49 yea, during gameplay there are keys, or certain doors that if you shoot it allows a shortcut, or another pathway through the level kinda like the way house of the dead played it off

@hotd34me new update! I had to send it out for a repair on the ram timekeeping chip that everyone believes is unfixable but yet the guy i'm sending it to has fixed multiple konami m2 boards, anyway, when I get it back I will do a full playthrough of the game and upload the video!
@steve5123456789 maybe to house of the dead 2 its inferior but this kicks the first one in the ass. plus this is probably either the only arcade machine or one of the few ones that feature 3 players instead of just 2.

Gladly! I live in California, and the arcade I went to is in located in San Francisco. It's in a big building called "The Metreon" with the arcade in it called "The Tilt". I went there on April 17, so it should still be there.
As for making one of the top three scores, how can you do that? It seems like the score keeps reseting to zero every time you die!
And could you tell me the good ending? It may be a while until I can actually make one of the top three scores.

evil night is available for download, but not emulatable yet so it's unable to be played. however, carnevil is more than playable if you have a computer with a high enough processor and are willing to download a couple files. you need a program called mame32 if you wanna use the mouse for shooting or regular mame if you wanna use a keyboard. the following files, carnevil.zip, which is about 200 and some kb's, and then carnevil's main game file, carnevil.chd. look the directions up on google.

If u ever go to chicago, you can go to the suburb of carpentersville, go to the spring hill mall and play it at the Alladin's Castle in the mall. I love this game, I found out about it this year. It's so great, the zombies the music everything really creeps me out. Evil Night FTW!
In the defence of the person playing it- If it's the same person who uploaded the attact mode video on another account, then he's running it on Hacked Hardware, for starters, and he's also using the Handguns, which without the charged shot are really hard to use properly. You can see he shoots stuff and it seems to do little to no damage.
you are correct, this game is very rare. as far as emulation goes, the game can only get to the color test screen even with the chd, then it crashes. i know this because i've tested it many a times. the hardware that runs this particular title has 11 custom chips help run it so you can see how difficult it would be to emulate those chips in mame. it might take another year or 2 for possible emulation!
first boss is a snake, second is this guy with a chainsaw who throws dead bodies at you, third is this dude with a mace or blunt object chasing you down the halls swinging away, then this lava ghost, and finally the witch in charge of the castle. i still remember all of them from when i was 7 years old haha

Now that arcades have died out, i don't think i'll get the chance anymore. Well, like i said i love arcade light gun games, especially the rare ones. usually, once a month ebay happens to have a seller of the premium version of this arcade game with a big 40 some inch screen with two guns on each side and a shotgun in middle, it costs about 8 or 9 hundred $ with either a pick-up option or train freight for like 2 to 3 hundred , so you're looking at about 1100 to 1200 $ in all. i've only seen twice before that ebay had just the m2 hardware and that specific game, that'll probably never happen again haha this is better than house of the dead!
oh man, you should've picked it up. this game can be run off a cd-r because the m2 didn't have copy protection. there is also a program that patches the m2 game iso's to run off any of the 3do m2 hardware. if there was the hardware and the guns that would've been good enough to play this game with.
Those bosses remind me of: Snake- Tower from HOTD2, chainsaw- Strength + Fool, Mace- Death, Lava ghost- the magician, and the witch -Emperor or Wheel of Fate.
