  • This was part of a BBC2 jazz series, which was the one and only time that Miles Davis actually played at Ronnie's...and it was in front of an invited audience only....

  • Now that's challenging!

  • what r these guys talking about

  • TCH! I'll be whistling this all day now!

  • I saw Peter Sellers do this at the beginning of Blake Edwards' film, The Party.

  • I am really sorry but i just dont get it... absolute WANK... maybe all the table candles were burning opium or something... I would ask for my money back!!! sorry guys.. but I suppose that is Jazz for you....

  • @TrickyDickyP Go hang out with Stanley Crouch, and leave your opinion to yourself. And,yes it isnt jazz.

  • @0428mar: Thanks, I will. You and your friends could benefit from seeing an Otolaryngologist. козел

  • @0428mar I thought YouTube was about sharing music and opinions, so long as they aren't offensive of course!

To quote Ronnie Scott, "Jazz sounds like a pet shop on fire to some people!"

  • @swingmanic o.k.?

  • It's not the last because I saw this band at the Colonial Tavern in Toronto, Canada about 1 month later on Dec. 9th. It was a Saturday afternoon matinee at the end of a week long gig and it only cost $1.50! As a wide eyed 15 year old I was never the same after that!!!

  • @wilfwat I'm really jealous of you, man! That must've been amazing!

  • Pretty sure this was miles' last club gig ever

  • Sssschlllloppooopoooaaaaasdeeee.

  • Thanks for this amazing clip of the "Lost Quintet".

I heard them play two nights in July of '69 at Juan Les Pins,Antibes. RTF filmed both nights for television. Hopefully the film will be made available.

They were incredible concerts of ferociously creative music, played at the highest level.
