  • Good tutorial. You may get better results if you modify your selection; Select - Modify - Expand - 5 pixels. I find the seams fit better then.

  • @johnmeephotography Thanks, really great suggestion!

I've recently taken to feathering my selection 5-10 pixels for the same reason.

  • Thanks alot! ;)

  • @TheMcGillie Glad I could help!

    Thanks for the feedback!

  • Thanks for the information.

  • @ComidicnCrazy No problem, I'm glad you liked it!

  • Thanks for the information.

  • Thanks for the information.

  • hey, it doesnt let me click the content aware option. do you know why?

  • @tahsir21 Have you made sure to merge the layers together?

  • Dude you freaking rock!

    Thanks man!

  • @Leftspc2 Haha thanks!

    I'm glad you liked it.

  • Twittah!

  • @DaveDrumstick Haha, yeah :)

  • Does anyone know how to manually align?! CS5 won't allow me to do that like it did in CS3! That's so annoying!

  • @iodine333 Uhh, well it has a bunch of different types for different distortion effects. That could address your problem.

If you want to manually align, you can always create your own canvas, and place the pictures on there manually. Sorry, I can't help more than that.

  • realy cool

  • @TheBoneyardCircus Thanks, glad you liked it!

  • it tells me everytime i try do this some images couldnt be aligned :(

  • @MrMaxehh When taking the photos, you should aim for a 30% overlap between images at least, and as close to the same exposure as possible.

  • @LOTRzagorath im using a handheld :(

  • @MrMaxehh That's fine. I always do too. Just find a major landmark (tree, particular building, bush, whatever) which is about a third of the way to the edge, and make sure it appears in two images.

As for exposure, either use manual mode, or turn on AE-lock.

  • @LOTRzagorath will do :) ill have a go and tell you if it works. im using a canon ixus 220 hs

  • @MrMaxehh Cool! I can't wait to see how it goes.

  • HOW to make a selection fast around the area without texture / photo in it?

Without selecting for 20min long the edge's with nothing...

    thanks

  • @ChristopheSterkens You can use the magic wand, although if your computer doesn't have enough RAM and processing power it may not work with larger panoramas, so you have have to break it into smaller sections manually using lasso.

  • @LOTRzagorath MacPro 32gig ram ok? :P

Ok nice! i always use quick selection tool in CS5 cuz it base like refine edge...

    but it worked :) thanks!

  • @ChristopheSterkens Hahaha, yes, I imagine 32 GB on a Mac Pro is probably going to be enough :D

    Glad I could help!

  • i like your desktop

  • @HeisseParallelwelt Hey, thanks :)

  • Very helpful video ..Thanks you made it easy for me!!!

  • @07Valtra No problem, I'm glad it helped.

  • great video! very easy to understand

  • @jbmjmojam Thanks! I'm glad to hear that!

  • this is actually really brilliant but this ram crap keeps coming up and im runnin 4gb of ram and a 2.3 ghz processor! any help?

  • @carson1220 Yeah, unfortunately it does happen a lot.

The best thing to do is break it down into very small sections using the lasso tool, rather than the magic wand.

    Hope this helps!

  • fast simple and effective

  • @TrikyMove Thanks. That's what I aim for. Let me know if there're any other things you'd like to see a tutorial in, Photoshop, or otherwise.

  • Great, thanks alot. What's your specs? More specifically, your RAM.

  • @sbui66pip 4 GB RAM (each), the processor on my Mac laptop is 2.66 GHz, and on my desktop PC 3.16 GHz.
