It was the best LSD trips ... .. red star as a main course yellow sunshine and nin-yang as a dessert than a dessert .. madness ..
This show is the first ever simulcasted concert in the world, beyond epic. Frank and band played uninterrupted for over an hour and 20 minutes of continuous "out there" music. It's a shame people today watch crap like American Idol and such, Zappa was the man for real musicians to follow and build upon. Sadly, as he has stated if there aren't lyrics dealing with love or angst no one will listen.
never again will the world hear anything like uncle frank. he took all this good shit with him. i still miss him. he was like family. i cried when he died.
Hey f*ck off everyone ! Frank was the sh*t ! He went to college for classical guitar ! They kicked him out of college , that Juliet school of music , they said you will never be anything ! Look what he accomplished after that ? Frank rest in peace my friend ! I myself attended two of his concerts ! moon ! Dweezil , the kids know what I'm talking about ! Anyway to watch my videos if you want ? But Frank was my favorite and I saved the videos !
@GhostOfMorrison "Frank’s late ’70s sunburst Les Paul ... was modified as well, of course. The original pickups were replaced with Seymour Duncans (according to Dweezil) or DiMarzios (on the Shut Up ’n Play Yer Guitar sleevenotes), plus another in-built Dan Armstrong Green Ringer octave/fuzz circuit, and a rotary switch with coil tapping options, and an XLR output jack. The Les Paul was also fitted with a mini-toggle switch to flip between series and parallel operation."
@UTubeIsTrackingYou It will be difficult to figure out exactly what Frank is using on any given song, he is noted for having complex tone setups. There is obviously a flanger/phaser being used on that solo as well. for more insight check out the YouTube video "In the Studio with... Dweezil Zappa" on the GuitarWorld channel.
@GhostOfMorrison I'm not sure but it might be this thing (and maybe something else?) "There's one thing a guy named Bob Easton constructed for me called the Electro Wagnerian Emancipator. It's avery attractive little device that combines a frequency follower with a device that puts out harmony notes to what you're playing." the quote is from a 77 interview with guitar player. Hope it helps

It's about Michael Kenyon.
He was an actual enema bandit who'd force his female victims to a, um... "back-door washout". But who knows, John Travolta might be more related than we think!
