Well if he's been blind his whole life and his opponent is just blind folded during the match that's kind of silly because he actually has a huge advantage since he's use to not being able to see. Not that I don't respect what he's doing fighting is one of the most difficult lifestyles you can choose but fighting a blind folded opponent is not as impressive.

Poorest people in Thailand (rice farmers in NE generally) make about a dollar a day. Average salary in the capitol for someone with a highschool education is about 8000B a month, or about 220 dollars.

For a fight thats indeed very low but they fight nearly every month and even 3 times a month although almost never fight more than 2.

Thailand is brutal, fighting is like any other job our there, like cooking, cleaning or construction.

Their kids start fighting and making money at the age of 4/6 years old, however this is not abuse because the not only chose themselves but are eager to fight.
