  • i have it and cant get it to record to my computers please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think i want this one

  • the rca cables are way to short and is permanently attached to the unit what fuckin idiot thought that was a good idea

  • Functionally this will work. How will it sound? Like crap.

    .

As soon as the emphasis is on "mp3s", there you go. The mp3 format is crap. It tosses away sound. It is popular because, by tossing out sound, it saves space. So with the junky ear-phones that come with portable players, most folks cannot tell what they are missing.

    .

The turntable in this video is junk. I am not saying that you need to spend 100k on a turntable. But this is not the way to create quality digital copies.

  • @NoEgg4u You're right. Lossless is the way forward.

Out of interest, is this turntable alright for sound quality with just playing records? That's all I intend to use it for.

  • @Mike40135

J&R is selling this package, on-line, for $99.99.

I cannot see how that price can buy anything but the lowest quality turntable, tonearm, and cartridge (for your basic record player). And it also comes with a built-in Analog to Digital converter, phono stage, motor, software, and cables.

How can they manufacture and distribute all of that, sell it for under $100, and both Sony and J&R make a profit?

It has to be rock bottom junk.

  • how do you turn the volume up on this thing?? i cant find it, or do you need speakers?

  • that. record. player. is. a. garbage... a complete. garbage. non removable ceramic cartridge? sickening. i don't know when sony became so garbage. but do they even make anything now that isn't garbage? i'm gonna get one of these and put it under my sony ta-f444esx. which will crush this garbage plastic garbage into a record. that will sound like garbage. oh garbage. sony!! please!! remember how you used to be so great?! biotracer arms? laseramorphous heads? trinitron screens? now what? garbage.

  • @mark902 You posted this crap 4 months ago, have taken your pills yet?

  • @mitrooper did i mention that before? huh. well, it's true. it is the truth on that subject and i wouldn't want anyone to forget that. these new plastic garbage things. good grief. and pills. what am i i need of pills for? i tried pills before and i learned that i don't need to have pills to feel a way that i can feel by my very damn self. if people would fuck off trying to sell me plastic garbage record players and pills, the world would be a better place.

  • Come on dude, you've had ample opportunity to listen to your vinyl. What's the hold up?

  • Is it fully automatic?

  • A Fabulous turntable, simple to handle and does what it says. I Bought it yesterday to give my records a new life, the dynamic is amazing. No matter what you do with technologie nowadays...it speaks really again with this equipment, fantastic.

  • @rsweres thats sony for ya

  • so just wondering....do you need to buy speakers with this turntable or is that built in? is it stereo? any info would help. thanks!

  • @dcieciek its stereo with a pre amp and yes you need speakers or a home theter system or just plug it in the pc

  • These days, I find myself getting cranky whenever I hear someone talk about the "stacks of records" sitting in someone's basement, as they dutifully threw out their stereos for MP3 players. I suggest a different idea: buy a good turntable....and listen to your records! The analog LP is the best form of recorded music, more than CD, far more than MP3.

I also recommend a solid vintage turntable over these cheap, plastic USB machines. Why Sony doesn't resurrect their classic PS-X is a mystery.

  • im thinkin abt buyin one of theese but is it fully automatic

  • im bout to get this. i cannot wait. ahh!!

  • me too :)

  • I have the Ion iPTUSB. I Just started listening to it after I brought a few records, I was born in the late 80's so I don't have any vinyl records just laying around. I agree that vinyl does sound better, more natural and organic. It's pretty fun to listen to with Grado 80s and a headphone amp.

  • @2kBalla07 Ya durn tootin' vinyl is great.
