And to think that 30 years later, the basic theme of this tune would be updated for the disco era with the completely different song "Ain't Gonna Bump No More (With No Big Fat Woman)" by Joe Tex.
My friend Barry and I used to laught over this as he played it on their phonograph back in the late '40s in Upper Darby, PA. Lotta' fun, back then. Not so much political correctness back then. Lotta' pain back then, too, now that I think about it, what with all the childhood sicknesses gone through, and just before penicillin, too. Ah well! We made it to 71. Who'd have believed it?
My Mom is always laughing about how my Grandfather used to sing this song around the house when she was little. So I looked for the song on youtube and I got to hear this song for the first time. Thanks for sharing.

I'm using it in my Sims 2 Harry Potter neighborhood. It's just perfect for Fudge and Umbridge.

the funniest thing about this song is that it is being sung by a big fatass like Arthur Godfrey
iVenge 3 months ago
@iVenge The sadest thing about your comment is that you lied. Arthur Godfrey never really was fat.
Better do your research... :D

@iVenge Oh and besides that Mr. Godfrey's voice is iconic and awesome.

I was going to play this song for a polka speech I gave in Music App. class, but I was worried I'd offend 1/3 the class. Literally, I counted.

You should remember that obesity is a signal that one has sacrificed their human rights (not to mention the non-right not to be offended).
