  • Um, I actually LOVE this professor. Stutter or not.

  • can someone explain why he says umm so much? is he speaking to a large audience or something?

  • @maxgunn555 More than likely a class of 150+ students. This is a lecture for general requirement US History.

  • @lucidshadow1000 thanks. still it's quite ridiculous kind of.

  • Britian policies in Eastern India, in Bengal province and other Indian Provinces using most of the irrigated land for poppy and opium production, which were dumped on china shores so to make people hook up on drugs and Britian made lot of profit by drug smuggling making Holocaust of Bengal, almost 80 percent population wiped out because of starvation....This is the first made Mass Genocide of people in the history, which is created by conquerors using Food as Weapon

  • If this narrator had a chronic stuttering problem, it couldn't make him any worse a speaker than he already is. Good God, how cn you learn anything from a lecture so disconnected. Bye

  • European history just gets worse and worse. I can't wait till it becomes ruled by Islam. They are still doing things as grotesque as what they did to that poor woman whom they put on display until 1985!

  • Look man, I don't want you to have a fit over it, it's a sad thing that story, but it's not possible to compare life in Malawi today with the life as it was 120 years ago or so. Even in Europe at the time, you had just the beginning of what we could recognize as modern life, and the people there lived about the same as people in Senegal or Egypt do today- they had that kind of lifespan, education - even that seemed like a lot for the world at the time.

But since then it has gotten better.

  • @whereisumar

One could say the same thing about many parts of the world.

I think we all should admit that it's better, now, that it was before.

Better to do that, than to let ourselves fall into a false idealization of the past - that kind of thing has happened before- and it almost always turn out to be a bad thing.

Those of us who have had people in our lives who lived in the 1910s or 1920s or 1930s know that life is better now.

One doesn't just die as often as one used to, that's that.

  • Did i hear him say the east india company was governing india for 3 centuries leading up to 1857? No, it did not. It was governing some parts of india for a few decades at most leading up to 1857.

  • This is a horrible video and professor.
