  • This is a great song. Did this come out in the 80s or 90s?

  • Richcool, this came out about '74-'75'ish, from the album Fleetwood Mac, just prior to Rumours and the 1st album featuring Nicks and Buckingham.

  • Chicken shack. Cheers!!!

  • great playing as well...the bass line is great. Back then people could really play

  • Great song!!Nice pic

  • A classic .....

  • I love Christine

after Stevie she is my fave FM singer. :)

  • No one knows how much of a great song this

  • Except for the rest of us who already knew it was a great song

  • bkwwatkins540

Looks down at the floor with complete disgust......... Lets try one more time the lovely Christine Perfect and Christine McVie are one person. She was born born Christine Anne Perfect who found fame with Chicken Shack in the UK. She later joing F.M. and then married F.M.'s bass guitarist John McVie

    making her married name McVie!

BTW she was lauded for having one of the "top 10 pairs of legs in all of Britain :)

  • more to the point...why ain't she touring the UK next year with the mac?

i want to see the original line-up (peter green and co) AND the superstar incarnation...christine wrote a lot of the best songs...she's a big part of their success...

  • classsic.

    i luvv it!

  • They were?are talented in their own ways.I like them both.

  • Correograpged4x

You ARE having a laugh are you not?

Chris Perfect and Chris McVie are one and the same person!!!!!! Maiden name Perfect then she married John!!! Phht!

  • Yes, look at her body. She is Perfect.

  • whoever tok these pictures was a genius

  • this song reminds me of summer.I wish I had a time machine

  • This is the best Fleetwood Mac song. Then again, the whole Rumours album just AWSOME!!!!

  • This isn't on Rumours??

  • oops...What album is it from??

  • You're right, it was on Fleetwood Mac, the album before it and the first to feature Buckingham and Nicks.

  • Thanks! :)

  • Please that someone says to me that I must do in order that I am not extracted by the videoes that so much it finds it hard to me to compile, they are my big entretention since I can not go out because I walk in a wheel chair; from already I am grateful for them to him(you, them) very much, Carlos, (carpive59).

  • Play the whole RUMORS album at my funeral!!!:)

  • I love this. it reminds me of driving from colorado to nebraska every summer....my mom would play fleetwood mac the whole drive.

  • who was better stevie nicks or christine mcvie

  • personally I prefer Christine McVie (though both contributed wonders to the band)

  • go ahead!! i want to hear you say that you love me!!!

  • I love you!!

  • and I love you!

  • Aww...that's sweet!

  • Think about me was her best this is top 3 no doubt

  • This IS the best song they ever had. In my opinion of course lol.

    Love & Light, Stu.

  • yeah I agree

  • danm it took me a long ass time to find this song, i thought the lyrics said "when the sun goes down and the lights go out"

  • ... It was 'and the lights go down': something of the environmental recognition: in those it wasn't a matter of saving money.

  • You may say that, but I believe you got me tinglin' from my head to my toes.

  • I love this song, next to Dreams by Fleetwood Mac, I really just love anything by Stevie Nicks...McVie's interesting...not as edgy as Nicks, but more of a romantic in my sense...Nicks always had a mystic aura...

  • Both beautiful and talented women.Stevie gives me a bone with that voice, but Christine makes me FEEL!

  • Even though Stevie Nicks got most of the attention (and she is deserving of what she got)it is without question Christine McVie who is the unsung hero of Fleetwood Mac.

  • Funny thing about that before Stevie, Christine was limited to a few songs because of her husband John. He didn't like the idea of Christine joining the band in the first place but Mick Fleetwood insisted due to the instability of other band members.

Stevie actually brought Christine out because Stevie's selfishness of wanting put more songs forced Mick and John to get Christine to do more.

  • So they "forced" Christine to write songs

so Stevie wouldnt have more? that doesnt make sence. And i'm glad Stevie bought Christine out. Go Stevie!

  • No, Stevie forced the boys to let Christine songs on the Mac albums. Take a look at how many songs she wrote are on the album from 1971-9=1974 period. Very few.

  • Will anyone drink to that toast? To the undying magic of Fleetwood Mac. Mic will toast us all, and I sense he will be the last to step away from the stage. But when he does, like all the rest, it is not stage left that he exits, but a misty fog through which he ventures forthe, into furhter magical reaches than our ears may catch notice of this strange moment. Their magic lasts long after the closing act!

  • Christine is and has always been a class act.

  • i personally always thought she was classier than nicks

  • I agree. In the day Stevie was a big coke user and it obviously affected her personality. She also has a beautiful smile but you rarely see her smile.

  • Lovely Christine ;-) thanks Fleetwood Mac ;-)

  • nice lyrics, nice voice, great base line, great album! gotta love Christine

  • Mac and chesse, UUUMMMMM!!!!

  • Love the bell-ish guitars. I think I like the white album more than Rumors

  • check the ciggy!!

  • This song has one of the most catchy beats of any FM song. Christine could really hit every part of the spectrum with her songwriting. Always underated during her career, it seems like only now that we realise what's been lost. Her retirement from FM was a fatal blow to the band.

  • While I wouldn't QUITE agree that her loss to the band was a FATAL blow... It was fatal in the sense that, with her gone, it's never going to be THAT Fleetwood Mac again that really really had the maximum and best magical power. However, let's face it. The band has been on its last leg for a while now, and after the Dance tour, that was pretty much it. Now they are reminiscing more than reviving, if you know what I mean. Christine's leaving was bell tolling rather than the death knell perse

  • Anything by the Mac is great.

  • Sweet, mellow, and lovely!! Thank you Christine and Fleetwood Mac.

  • Love it,love it,love it ! Great shuffle, great lyrics, and admit it, you're smiling as you listen to it, (or even singing along like I am!)

  • Best

    Bassline

    Ever!!

  • Rumours was a great album. A true icon of the '70s...as was their whole sordid story.

    LMFAO! Rock decadence personified!

In an article in Newsweek about 10 years ago about ABBA, there was a line saying "their love lives pulled a 'Fleetwood Mac'."

ROFL!!! Though the article was published decades after the incident, the journalist - and nearly all readers of the article - knew exaclty what is meant to "pull a Fleetwood Mac!"

    How freaking funny is that?!

  • great!!!!! my favorite fleetwood song love it ♥

  • Thanks for creating this video and posting it. I needed a Christine McVie fix this morning. Just love her songs and her voice... she's one of the finest female artists of her generation!!

  • thank you, J.T., for sharing this great song. i think you pictures are great, by the way! did i see one of christine with dennis wilson?? five stars on this video!

    from your new subscriber,

    david

  • I love this song.

  • What Mac album was this on Tusk ??

  • Rumours

  • Brain fade...I should know better. Sorry

  • Fleetwood Mac ( Self Titled album )

  • yes, the self-titled one (1975)

  • The self-titled album.

  • Yeah...All he ever has to do is say is: I love you...I miss you.

  • IT sucks wondering if they ever will say i miss you.

  • Fleetwood Mac is a great band with Stevie, Buckingham, Mick, and John, but Christine sang their best two songs; this one and you make loving fun. I'm glad i saw them with Christine at Nissan Pavilion a few years back.

  • GREAT song I had a gf who said she felt like this song was made for her to me.I still miss her

  • Christine McVie - underrated pianist and lyricist....

  • Christine goes up there with Carol King since I feel their styles are similar

  • Never thought about it....Good compairison

  • Yeah I didn't either, until someone said she was underated as a pianoist and vocalist ( also a songwriter too )....Would be nice to see Carol and Christine hook up for a project

  • They just played this song on the radio and I just had to look it up! Great song!

  • this song came into my head earlier today and now i cant stop playing it. i love it!!!

  • Then why leave a comment.. This song is great!

  • Christine......Cate Blanchett

    John...........Ryan Gosling

    Mick...........Jason Lee

    Stevie........Jamie KIng

    Lindsey......Emile Hirsch

just my thoughts even though the ages don't line up perfectly

  • thanks my lady vol

  • In that first pic, Christine looks like Teri Garr.

  • Here are my picks for the group.

    Hillary Swank-Stevie Knicks

    Joaquin Phoenix- Lindsey Buckingham

Adrian Brody-Mick Fleetwood Ryan Phillipe-John Mcvie

  • I'm a huge Stevie fan, but I really love Christine's voice. This is my favorite Christine FWM song!

    :op

  • A great song by a great band from a great era.

  • What a beautiful song

  • Christine is a great woman, with the right attitude for the business she was in. Also, a private person.

    Super voice, too! Great song!

  • a song of total, brilliant, feminist IRONY

  • Someone needs to make a movie based on the recording of Rumours. Hell, call it "Rumours". Who would you cast as the band? Vince Vaughn - Buckingham? Johansen - Nicks?

  • Cate Blanchett as Christine McVie perhaps.

  • Viggo Mortensen - Lindsay Buckingham

    Gwyneth Paltrow - Christine McVie

    Scarlett Johannsen - Stevie Nicks

    Colin Farrell - Mick Fleetwood

    Orlando Bloom - John McVie

  • You are so weird-where do you get scarlet Johansen for Stevie Knicks-scarlet doesn't have an ounce of Stevie's personality. And why gwenweth for christine? Hillary Swank is the only actress out there of gen x/geny who has proven she is a fighter and a great actress. Stevie wasn't a that glamorous she was an incredible person in all ways and pretty but not fake like nosejob Johansen.

  • yeah.. Chrissie is great..

  • her vocals are so throaty...kinda reminds me of my own...that's why i play this song on guitar; i love to sing it!

  • absolutely bloody brilliant!!

  • My favorite song from fleetwood mac !! A classic !!!!! Very nice song

  • <3 Christine McVie.

  • NICE AUDIO!

  • pretty cool

  • GREAT Bass.

  • John McVie is one of the greatest - highly under-rated.

  • incredible music love the pic with dennis

  • love Fleetwood mac, my fav song is 'don't stop' which is by Cristine =)

  • Yeah FWM!!!!!!!

  • i love this song

  • peter green ,mick fleetwood, leur meilleur album est english rose ,mon titre preféré DRIFTING ,il est ou ,la video SVP MERCI

  • Must have been one of the few FM fans who actually had a thing for Christine rather than Stevie. Anyway, I've always believed she was one of the finest songwriters ever. And what a voice!

  • To Talls63 = the greatest song ever by one of the most versatile artists ever !!!

  • yeahhhhhhhhh,....great song.....my favorite Band...and so many years!

  • I love this song a lot!!

  • love love love this song <3

  • "The lovely Christine (perfect) Mc vie."

  • My fave FM song. I was about 12 when it came out and Christine's voice was very interesting, with great backbeat. Great song 1976.

  • love this one so catchy

  • Fleetwood Mac...one of the greatest bands EVER!

  • This song sealed me to my wife Christine as I made my way to Orlando from Miami....Doug

  • I love you.

  • John McVie and Mick Fleetwood are one of the most under-rated rhythm sections in music.

  • yeah, Christine and Stevie play off each others voices very well. i cant picture the band without both of them...

  • My sister in law's name is christine and she love's Fleetwood Mac and this song. I must say, it's pretty groovy.

  • Banjo adds that extra charm

  • They don't have groups like them these days....

Not even "The Mac" is as good since Christine left for good...

99% of songs these days are utter crap. ANY song with no guitar has serious issues...

  • yes, i agree...and why do they call them "bands" today when don't play any instruments????

  • I like the song. But I think "Go your own way" is their best song. ;-)

  • Their best song! Thanks for posting it.

  • Stevie is no Janis Joplin? You're right. Stevie is WAYYYYYY better.

Love this song and love Christine.

  • Uh uh not Stevie Nicks she screamed sometimes but she was no Janis Joplin.

  • great song.

  • The banjo playing is not knopfler. It's Lindsey Buckingham.

  • Ah actually its John McVie.

  • John was playing Bass, Buckingham played banjo and electric guitar on this entire album, I believe.

  • TOTALLY LOVE IT!

  • one of my favorite songs by them

  • Who played the banjo???

  • mark knopfler

  • i love this song...thanks so much for posting it...:-)

  • :D good song 5 star song!

  • This is my fav song that Christine sings, it's so coquettish and adorable :-)

  • nice job

  • latinox is dead right! The Mac without Chris is a boring Stevie/Lindsey solo show!

  • Fleetwood Mac goes on without her. Too bad. She had a cd out of her own music and it sucks. She needs Fleetwood Mac and they need her. Come back shithead

  • Yea she had a really good voice, I love Spare me a little

  • Love Fleetwood Mac! Christine and Stevie not only both had amazing voices but both were Beautiful! Love em!
