i'm glad i was born in the 90's, because looking back at music in the 50's 60's and 70's gives you so much more appreciation for what the music was and what it meant. in essence it gives you the best of, instead of having to weed through everything.
i am 15 years old and in the 15 years i have been on this earth i have learn that i was born in the most shit of shitty times. i wish i would have been born in the 50s so i can go thru 60s 70s 80s. some of most awesome stuff happend back then and now we have justin bieber :(
@javelin954 Oh, there were crappy stuff in these times too ... But noone really remember them (and so will it be for Bieber or Rebecca Black or that kind of formated commercial music)
@javelin954 i really wish people like you would shut the fuck up about justin bieber!!!! dont you see you are providing free advertising for him everytime you mention his name!
im 14 and id do ANYTHING to be born in like the 1950s so i would be about 10+ when this music started popping up and i could listen to the 60s 70s and 80s and maybe early 90s before i died
i remember sitting in my bedroom at night, my mum would take my radio away so a bought annother and hid it under my beed :D stayed up ages listing to the kinks and the doors...gotta love the beach boys aswell !!
@frankiero55 Well, you would have been about 15 in 1970 and that's about the age me and all my friends started goin crazy over our favorite bands. Plus underage sex/drugs/rocknroll was a lot more common back then.
@Charlie29199 Saddly, interest or not you'll be 60 before you know it!! enjoy your youth with everything you've got, cus it will be a memory before you know it.
It's amazing - this was POP music. It was all pop, and it was all brilliant. What happened to pop music in the past decade or so? It's such a dirty word now.

Pirate Radio lives again today in the form of Satellite Radio for people who are tired of the mediocrity and government bureacracy that plagues terrestrial radio.
Please. Satellite radio went mainstream when you could buy "commercial free" radio. Now, XM has as many or more commercial breaks. It's just that they're mostly whoring themselves instead of other commercial clients. I agree, the FCC is a bloated, outdated nightmare full of empty suits trying to justify their government paycheck. But lets not punish REAL radio.
my mum was so shocked when we were watching this film and i know the words to nearly every song :P
she just laughed and called me aweird little teenager

Satellite Radio is still run by corporations though.
there are many pirate radio stations still in existence today all over the world, running outside of the fcc the dti, etc.
