i own a 5.0 GT but these 4.4 0-60 numbers are piss poor for 444 hp car. they need to get rid of the 373 gears and 285 rear tire and maybe go with 355 gears and 305 rear tires then maybe you can make use of all this wasted power out of the hole. base vett has 342 gears and 426 hp with dual mode exhaust and it does better 0-60 times. vett costs quite a bit less also than the 302 boss
@daniel0771 They ran it on regular gas as stated in the video. The knock sensor kicks in and backs off the timing dropping the power; hence, lower track times.
@socleanmx6 I'm pretty sure a 150 shot would do better than that you dumb ass. this monster has freaking amazing suspension with launch control and 444 hp to get it there fast. thats what you get in a modern mustang. get with it!!!
The only thing I think could be better would be to get rid of the electronic assist steering. Good old direct mechanical pump might give more feedback, but then again, they got everything right that i could tell, and the steering had good-enough feel....but I gotta wonder.... :)

What a piss poor way to present this car. I grew up watching this guy but after watching Top Gear over the last half a decade I have to say this was apocalyptically boring. There is just over six minutes of film here and only ten seconds of good information. Nothing in the way of feeling, how it feels in the corners, or anything negative they didn’t like about it. This road test is the equivalent of a shitty Pop band; no substance at all and designed so no one would be offended. EPIC FAIL.
Stang TV has a test of the Laguna Seca Boss 302 on the dyno placing 416 Horsepower at the rear wheel and 355 lbs of torque......check it out! Based on a 15% loss due to driveline components, that puts the 2012 Boss at 490 HP at the flywheel by my calculations. Ford as certainly underrated the horsepower of this engine in my opinion.
i cant c how u guys are arguing in the boss 302 favor. for one how the hell do you lose torque when adding heads upgraded cams valves and intake manifold. if u were to take a stock ls1 and add all those upgrades you'll have a faster car then that. hp means crap in a 0-60 time its all about torque more torque better launch.
@personman8 The Boss 302 losses 10 ft-lbs but the reg 5.0's torque drops off quicker. Yes torque gets things moving from a dig but HP keeps them moving and the Boss 302 is still making power at its 900 RPM higher redline and will put out almost 500 HP with a disabled rev limiter @ 8000 RPM!

@soyntgo4it Ford did take money please look it up, They even registered the loan with the SEC. Ford's credit arm took around $16 billion. They did take the loan so they could have cash on hand. They did not need the money to stay in business like GM but they still held there hand out to take it. They only took it because it was difficult to get a loan at the time.

I think this is the first mustang that has interested me in years. The last mustang that made me really interested was the Cobra R. They recently have gotten too heavy and bland. Sorta heavy and nothing special, this car seems to be getting back to fords motorsport history a bit. It looks responsive as hell and the paint, although a bit outlandish, works well on this car.
There's something wrong with ya'lls trap speed. There's no way that car will trap 124. It's amazing enough some people have gotten it to 116-118, but NO way on the 124

@1vdn992 hmm, more like 4000 lbs. That and much improved suspension it will be cake spanking the Boss around a track. It's basically a lighter, better handling, more powerful CTS-V. This is not simply a SS with a supercharger.
@1vdn992 that's the number GM has been hinting, the supercharger obviously adds weight but GM has removed weight from other areas of the car. GM has said the weight should stay around the current Camaro SS. Best estimates put it around 3900-4000.

I think this is the first mustang that has interested me in years. The last mustang that made me really interested was the Cobra R. They recently have gotten too heavy and bland. Sorta heavy and nothing special, this car seems to be getting back to fords motorsport history a bit. It looks responsive as hell and the paint, although a bit outlandish, works well on this car.

Sweet Ford your coming along very nicely so glad you didn't take the Bail out money like the GM company. This car will surely smoke and Camaro SS.. bring the The Shelby GT 500 into play with the new Camaro ZL1 and you still will be a winner Ford. No push-rod engines for you Ford way to go. Mustang weights less makes it faster car Camaros are a heavy boat..

@1vdn992 hmm, more like 4000 lbs. That and much improved suspension it will be cake spanking the Boss around a track. It's basically a lighter, better handling, more powerful CTS-V. This is not simply a SS with a supercharger.

@1vdn992 that's the number GM has been hinting, the supercharger obviously adds weight but GM has removed weight from other areas of the car. GM has said the weight should stay around the current Camaro SS. Best estimates put it around 3900-4000.
