Fun interview - but kinda strange for them to be sitting there excited about their new album and having some good laughs and the show busts out with a Libertines song first instead of the new album?! The eye contact between them said it all... like WTF? They handled it well though.
@grappa0 basically he says he's Irish and only came to London recently, he spent most of his life in Spain. And then, the interviewer mentions a quote he read somewhere about the babyshambles sounding like the beatles played by the sex pistols, and drew says he said that once and people keep mentionning it in interviews, but it was just his way to explain their punk and british pop influences.
i agree. i would have felt a bit hijacked.... no offence to mick but could it be that he joined the band for fame rather than love? im not 100% sure of the answer, but apparently he was hostile towards patrick pushing him further away from the band, which may have been part of his plan to go down in history as being a member of one of the greatest bands....??? who knows who knows...
