This is the finest dramatic portrayal of Jesus that I have ever seen. All other professional actors have portrayed Jesus with a bit of stiffness, because they maybe were intimidated by the role. But Bruce Marcianno puts the kindness and authority of Jesus into his speaking of the lines, and it is an astounding performance. Three Oscars and a Golden Globe still are not enough for this performance. The Lord Himself will have to give Bruce his proper reward!
You my friend were the wrong man to play jesus. No offence but you did a teribble job. It was the worst jesus I;ve seen. Jesus was divine...you played jesus like a joker...No different than the 1999 jesus movie ...you and him are tied for the worst jesus played
@Shadow2033 I bet the Lord had a sense of humor, I'm sure there were serious moments in Jesus life, but there were also those times of fun and joy. Keeping it real, he did as good a job as any man, attempting to play the divine. No human man is going to be able to play the Christ perfectly.
I remember watching The visual bible in private school when i was in first grade and I was wondering or most of the film "Why does he smile so much!?" because I was used to the movies portraying him as very serious. But Bruce has always been my favorite actor of Jesus because of this. 2nd grade was the last time I ever saw this movie and it stuck with me even after I graduated.
I have been preached to, yelled at, and plainly told what to believe in. But I have never truly listens and heard or have been ever truly touched by the holy spirit till watching the encounter with him as Jesus. That has changes my view of everything and I am thankful for it
I love the spirit of this man! His work is one of the finest, most down-to-earth portrayals of Christ ever shown.. Not super spiritual or strange.. Just a real person. I appreciate any work he does, especially works that give people a chance to know the Living God as presented in this interview. ~Sean
@merlinforever They did film a sequel. A few days ago I sent a message to Bruce Marchiano on Twitter, and today her wrote back to me and said that they did film The Encounter 2 over in Bandkok a few weeks ago.
