  • Riding upwind is an intermediate technique that can be accomplished in several ways. The simplest one is to have a kite with enough power for your weight that can propel you without having to move it up and down in the wind window. To go upwind, you need to generate enough speed to be able to keep the kite at a 45 degree angle also called 11 or 1 and edge against the kite will riding this will get you back to the beach. I suggest you take a lesson that covers this and you'll learn pretty fast!

  • How do you come back to where you started if the wind is blowing down the beach??
