Exactly, as everyone else said, Get out of the fucking way. Do not slow down people who have paid money to drive a real vehicle and expect to be treated with respect. You're on a fucking bike for gods sake you don't need that much room.
@monkeysnutscom: Especially on a blind bridge? It's not one way, you don't need the whole lane, if it's such a dangerous bridge get on the pavement (don't lecture me about it being wrong to drive on the pavement, I only mean while you're on the 'mighty dangerous blind bridge') seriously, you asked him "What are you doung?!" He was overtaking you... there's no problem with that especially when you're taking the piss.
@ZackValentine I am going to end this conversation now because you clearly have no understanding of cycling and the dangers that are posed on the roads.
@coolchef09 There was no white line on the road, just the dotted line in the middle which it a general lane splitter. There was a cycling path but it was on the other side of the road and means having to look out for pedestrians. There are not many cycling facilities as it is not a massively built up area. Its would be a lot safer if there were.
I had a similar incident. The guy overtook when oncoming vehicle on crest of hill. Then he opened door in front of me and started shouting. I reported this to the police with video (which I will post soon) and he was eventually charged with breach of the peace. Apparently a dangerous driving is too difficult to get accepted by procurator fiscal (Scotland) unless serious consequences or driver over 70 or under 21!!!
@cycopathifist Yes, the officer I reported it to said that my camera only showed one perspective, and doesnt show what I was doing before the bridge. She said that the likely outcome was that the driver will just deny anything, and as there was no contact with the vehicle, the matter was not classed as serious.
wow. the crap you guys put up with daily is amazing. im surprised he jumped the light. you would think he would have took that as a chance to argue with you
@monkeysnutscom Good luck with that. Try to suggest that they might take action under section 59 of the Police Reform Act of 2002. Subsection (2) in particular.
@MrGrumpycyclist I have a police officer coming over tomorrow so I might mention it to them and see what they say. When they come I will probably show them the video, just so they can see the evidence
