I wonder if there gonna make any dlc for dark souls. Just got the game 2 days ago,and already beat it. I must say this game is much better then skyrim*ahem*.
@Felixg1979 Unfortunately not dude. I hated it when FromSoftware said they weren't going to come out with any new levels, enemies, etc. At least they came out with a complete game on launch. They stated that when they release their game, they were very happy with the fact that theirs is shipping complete, unlike Skyrim. They didn't want to cheap out their customers by not coming out with a full product.

@arno2606 The easiest-to-use PvE build when you are just starting out is (in my opinion) a high Vit and End lightning weapon build. It's usually called a Vit/End gouge build. You get good damage out of a lightning weapon (particularly something nasty like the zwei) and you have very high survivability in case you take some hits.
It has a reputation for being a noob build, but that's because it is easy to make and effective.
@EpicNameBro@arno2606 a good ass build that i found on my second play thru for none pvp and pretty much cheating the level ratio for helping ppl with boss to get max fun out of the game is pretty pick pyro class and only have 20 vit/end and either 16dex and 20 str or 20 str and 16 dex with that u can use just about any basic weapon. you will either be lv 37-48 which will allow you to help just about anyone starting out at a wide range of bosses to, you need flip ring and ring of favor tho
what weapon should you use ? do the dragon head glitch and master every weapon/ have fully upgraded stats MUAHAHAHAHA its a giant middle finger to a hard ass game.

@mindbend13 I don't think you can. Only four characters that respawn are available at the forest if you're not in the covenant. Shiva only appears in the swamp once you join and then appears in the forest if you don't manage to kill him there.

@zwimaster That's probably not Shiva and his bodyguard that you killed. There is another cloaked ninja-type enemy that respawns, as well as a dude with a big axe and a spider shield. If you did actually kill them, then I have no idea. :/
@BSS813 if your equip burden is more than half of what your max is, you'll still do a slow roll. as soon as you reduce it to less than half, you'll start to cartwheel around.
umm..i joined again and again and shiva never showed up in blighttown, i turned my console on and off, but he never appeared, so i went back trying to find him in the forest but never found him :l. now half of the forest wanderer npcs are dead and im missing out on beasty flips, any tips?
you can get thrown out of the forest covenent,if you farm by making them jump of the cliff a couple of times ect she eventually gives you a speech about betrayal ect then she dissapears
"eventually"? The moment you harm anyone in the forest covenant by any means, you've sinned. It's a really big problem since occasionally you'll be wallowing through the forest without a care in the world when you suddenly get 2000 souls out of no where...
The last patch was supposed to help by placing Shiva's body guard farther from the edge, but I can say with 100% certainty that it's not full proof, since he's not the only one that can suicide randomly.
I'm not going to read through all these comments to see if it's been said, but incase it hasn't; you don't have to go all the way to blighttown if you just want the ring. Shiva and his Ninja buddy stay in Darkroot until you go there, and don't despawn if you fail to kill them. It means you can get the ring quicker and with less risk.
See, when I was playing this game, we had the "2000xLv" sorta business going on. I was around maybe... Level 137? Yeah, I had to use a lot of souls.
Nowadays, I have been playing with a new character, after going into NG+ with my original. I'm playing with a Lv56 Faith/Strength build, going for PvP, which I didn't do much w/the original char. If you want a session to whup, or get an ass-whupping, with my Ornstein Armored character, feel free to add me. Good luck, and... Praise the Sun!
Shiva's shield is notable for being the only shield in the game that can parry but also has "Heavy" deflection. There's 4 classes of shield weight (none, light, medium and heavy), heavy attacks are going to blow straight through light shields, heavier shields allow you to block stronger attacks and send the attacker recoiling. The only other shields which have heavy deflection are all greatshields, and as such you can only bash with them.

I have a problem, the first time I got to the forest I killed almost all of them, after joining the covenant, including Shiva, that sells the weapons in Swamp. So I went to the bell tower and paid to lift my sin or what so ever. Then I joined again, so I went to the Swamp, and the guy was not there ... does the guy come back to life? I mean, I killed him, but I lift the Sin, so? Help

@megnus1 If you are over 50% of your equip burden, you can't roll quickly. Try removing some heavy armor and you'll see. If you raise your Endurance or equip Havel's Ring in your other slot, you can equip heavy armor and still flip.

@kmj0831 He stands right outside the cat's little "house." Are the humans still attacking you?? If they are, you aren't in the covenant for some reason. They won't attack if you are a member.

@zenmaster666 When I joined they were right outside the room where we join. I could not buy from Shiva, he just told me to come back later. I used chaos fireball to kill the ninja and then Shiva killed me before I could pick up the ring. I came back killed Shiva and took the ring. I wonder if I payed the Cleric to absolve my sins before killing Shiva if I'd still be able to buy from him.
Hey has anyone here got a soul of ornstein to trade with me, i killed smough last again by accident and i need both souls for the trophy, or if someone could let me hold the dragon slayer spear for it (don't need to keep it). Hey dude !!! I like the looks of that sword, I just wondered, you've got a STR build right ? I mean, got a STR build to, just have 12 DEX to be able to carry a short bow with me ;). But, the sword is worth it anyways ?
Currently using a mace myself, started out as a knight. But I guess the reach and speed of a sword like this also adds up.

Ok so after I joined the forest covenant I ran over and killed the hydra and on the way back got a random 2000 souls and I was ok cool and then they started to attack so im like umm in your covenant bitch fuck off and I ended up killing all of em and went to Artorias the Cat thing and she kicked me out the covenant and I cant go to the merchant dude either right cause I think I killed him. But to get the uchigatana I killed the merchant in undead burg. But stil it was gay
@dabutenxoanguai you can. Increase your max equip burden. If your current burden is 50% or less than your max, you can still flip. You can use the ring of favor or havel's ring, or simply increase your endurance.
Those forest guys don't actually hunt for you do they? like ill be in firelink shrine and i get attacked by them suddenly? If not why even pay to get forgiven lol
@Themarinechaos The Forest Hunters don't hunt you, however there is a covenant called Blade of the Darkmoon (Gwyndolin covenant) thats purpose is to invade and kill people that break covenants as punishment. They are real players that will pop into your world as blue phantoms and try and kil you. I am currently a member but I never invade as it is just a bunch of maxed level tards waiting to get their jollies from wacking low level people.
@Zombie326 That's funny that's why i stick to way of white covenant since its said to decrease the chance of you getting invaded, it happened to me once but the guy rolled out of the way of one of my fire balls right off a cliff so it wasn't bad :D

Dark Souls is a bit easier, but not much. I personally like Dark Souls more.

@zenmaster666 When I joined they were right outside the room where we join. I could not buy from Shiva, he just told me to come back later. I used chaos fireball to kill the ninja and then Shiva killed me before I could pick up the ring. I came back killed Shiva and took the ring. I wonder if I payed the Cleric to absolve my sins before killing Shiva if I'd still be able to buy from him.

Hey dude !!! I like the looks of that sword, I just wondered, you've got a STR build right ? I mean, got a STR build to, just have 12 DEX to be able to carry a short bow with me ;). But, the sword is worth it anyways ?
Currently using a mace myself, started out as a knight. But I guess the reach and speed of a sword like this also adds up.

u dont need to attack shiva for the armor and weapon ... you find those at the place where u meet him for the first time.. and the sword you find it in the swamp

Ok so after I joined the forest covenant I ran over and killed the hydra and on the way back got a random 2000 souls and I was ok cool and then they started to attack so im like umm in your covenant bitch fuck off and I ended up killing all of em and went to Artorias the Cat thing and she kicked me out the covenant and I cant go to the merchant dude either right cause I think I killed him. But to get the uchigatana I killed the merchant in undead burg. But stil it was gay

@Themarinechaos The Forest Hunters don't hunt you, however there is a covenant called Blade of the Darkmoon (Gwyndolin covenant) thats purpose is to invade and kill people that break covenants as punishment. They are real players that will pop into your world as blue phantoms and try and kil you. I am currently a member but I never invade as it is just a bunch of maxed level tards waiting to get their jollies from wacking low level people.
